Traffic Advisor Light Bar

Very impressed with this light. I had purchased a different 1 before this one that was terrible from another company. Mine was installed inside on my rear tinted window of my Tacoma. It was still bright though the tint. It lasted so long with no issues I retired from my Sign job and removed it from my vehicle and its stored in the garage up in the rafters. I felt a lot safer on the side of the road and no longer looked like I needed help sitting on the shoulder. I looked professional and like I was supposed to be there.

Got this installed super easy to install and get ready for mounting suctioned onto the back window of my truck and stayed in place even with it being cold out. It’s light weight which is a nice plus as far as how bright this thing is it’s super bright I was worried about my rear window being tinted that it would be dim but that was not the case. Well worth the money and the patterns are great to cycle through for what you want.

I recently picked up this traffic adviser light bar off Amazon, and after getting it installed and running, here’s my full take on it after some hands-on time. Packaging & Setup: The Amazon box it arrived in was slightly damaged, but the actual lightbar box inside was in perfect shape. The manual is very short, but assembly is pretty straightforward. It comes with brackets (basic, but functional), suction cups (including extras), and screws in case you want a more permanent mount. I read mixed reviews on the suction cups, so I had my own backups just in case. Build & Appearance: The light bar itself feels solid and looks great. The LED quality is impressive, only time will tell if they will last—the lights are very bright and the colors are sharp and clear. It fit nicely in the rear window of my Ford Taurus, though the window angle does make it tricky to get the bar pointing perfectly straight back. The angle adjustment hits its limit before getting quite there, so I might need to DIY a better bracket or adjust it myself later on. Brightness & Patterns: Brightness is one of the highlights here. The LEDs are strong enough to shine clearly through dark legal window tint, even in well-lit areas. It features 26 flash patterns, which is more than enough for most needs, and switching through them is simple. I set mine to pattern 7 as a favorite and love how visible it is—even in partial daylight. Controller & Usability: Here’s where it loses a star: the controller. It works, but it’s not backlit, which makes it hard to see at night unless you turn on an interior light. The way it displays active patterns is also a bit confusing—some of the light indicators bleed into others, making it tricky to tell what’s actually selected, especially on more complex patterns. Another downside: the controller mount. It comes with a plastic slide-on piece and double-sided tape, but it doesn’t clip or lock in securely, so the controller tends to shift or wobble while driving. I had to reinforce it with extra tape just to keep it in place. Definitely not ideal, and it feels like a bit of an afterthought in an otherwise solid package. Overall: This light bar looks fantastic, is easy to install, and offers strong brightness and versatile patterns. It’s great value for the price. If they improved the mounting options and updated the controller with a backlight and a more secure bracket, this could easily be a 5-star product. I bought this product because I found it useful as I am a volunteer firefighter and sometimes have to go POV. This product works very well, there is plenty of wiring, the control box is great and comes with a sticky pad to mount it, and the lights come with 6 suction cups and 8 sticky pads to help it stick. You only need 4 suction cups, so it’s always nice to have extras. I highly recommend finding a more permanent place for this because if you only use the regular suction without the other sticky pads, I’ve responded to plenary of calls where it just falls off the the glass when it has a strong stick, and it sometimes falls off without the vehicle in motion. As soon as I put the sticky pads in, it hasn’t fallen once, and works great. When I bought this product, I wish I had a video on the product to make sure it worked good, so here is a video to help you when I wish I had one! Overall, great product!

Ok, these are not a 3watt or 5 watt professional set but on the cheep you do get a fantastic directional bar. I have mine on the inside of a smoked rear glass on a Ram 2500HD. You can see them outside in daylight! You can see them well! Plenty of wire, one cord for power with a standard cig plug and the second cord for the display controller. No need to twist your neck or get the pattern wrong from looking through the mirror. The patern is on the controller with LED's. The bar is straight so it can be used inside the front windshield as well, and at the price why not. They won't sync up in pairs but who cares. The pattern is yours to use 4 pre programed and one custom out of 25 or 26ish patterns. There is a small indexed quick connect for the controller in the cable to make it easy to route the cable. I recommend as I do with all LED systems keep them down from the roof of the vehicle. In the summer it gets hot inside and it's even hotter in the top 6 inches of a vehicle. I have lost several displays until I installed them 6 inches down from the top. That's one hand down . Time will tell if they last, for now, safety is to be seen! Pretty good light bar it does what it’s suppose to. Which it had different useful patterns but overall ok. Use adhesive double sided tape for it instead of the rubber suction cups. The auction cups push the bar further away from the window and if you have tint it won’t be to bright on the outside and a lot in the inside like my video. I’m going to use double sided tape and place the bar closer to the window to prevent light inside.

The lights work great, but it will not stay on my window. You need a flat back window to use this, if the window has any curve at all the suction won't hold, even with extra tape added. And at night, because the lights are on the inside, there's a really bad reflection in the glass and it makes it hard to see. For reference i have a 2020 jeep compass trailhawk
