Easiest Chord Book for Piano

My mother was an excellent piano teacher and tried and tried to teach me to learn chords. I attempted to do so many times over the years, but her way was too much to remember. And so, I went back to reading music and making mistakes. This book changed everything! I love it. The formulas for making chords are so easy to understand, and for my aging senior brain to remember. Within a week, I was playing my favorite songs out of easy piano books while embellishing them with chords. Mom would be so proud! Thank you Mr. Banks. You, and this book, are amazing!

I've been playing the piano (sight reading) for years but retained virtually nothing about chords. This book is AMAZING. I feel like I've learned more about the piano in a 1-hour reading of this book than I did with 10 years of practicing via sight reading. I only wish there were a Chord Book 2 from Mr. Banks. I am going to order the Book 2 of the Easiest Beginner Piano Method but hope that Mr. Banks will consider publishing another Chord Book.

The book is what I expected. Easy to read and practice.

Ordered this and 2 other books because starting to play piano again. I had lessons as a child but needed a refresher. This book has helped prior lessons coming back to me. No, I don't have plans to be a concert pianist, I just want to be able to play from sheet music. Already play part by ear. The lessons are set up for beginner and it's a lot of fun to practice everyday. About 1/2 way through this book and loving some of the songs. Quite easy and lots of fun. Highly recommend!

It was a good beginner book

This book is the best basic music theory book i have ever seen; it explains things in such an easy way that it makes the learning of it very easy. And it gives one a very simple way to construct any chord you might run into. I play guitar and the chords on the piano translate to the fretboard so easily i cannot believe it. Learning piano on my own according to Monk has been “a blessing and a curse”. Some days I have a feeling of accomplishment and others I just want to tear my hair out. The latter is the way I felt about chords till I got this book. I’ll admit, I had to read through it a few times before I got it, but then I had an epiphany and it all made sense. This is not a lengthy book but the information within is written so well that if you are having any difficulty making headway with chords this book has all you’ll need to figure it out especially if you’re learning on your own. I recommend this book highly.

With that said said, it doesn’t give you the volume int chord that sounds so much better. It is, however, a good starting placing to remember the basic chord and then you learn the whole when you get more comfortable using them.
