Nice throttle control, sturdy built!
Good upgrade over the on/off pedal found in Power Wheel models or the Peg Perego Gator. The pedal is well manufactured. As a suggestion for future improvement, a stronger gauge cable could be used to be more resilient against the fingers and feet of curious little ones in case the speed controller has to be mounted in the cabin and the cable is reachable to the kids. I Just installed it on an early 2000s Gator and it works great. Cannot comment yet on reliability of electrical components!

Pedal worked great but functions are reversed
Bought this with matching controller from same company and vehicle took off full speed at power up. Pressing pedal slows motor down and full foot pressure makes vehicle stop. Does not appear to be a potentiometer, but hall effect sensor which is very nice. But why fast to slow function which is opposite of normal pedal making vehicle unusable? Unable to reverse pedal function. Returned pedal and controller as exhausted patience.

It works!
Install on my project was quite easy! My son loves the way it functions! I'm purchasing another for his brother's car!

SUPER cool and useful
My kids absolutely love being able to speed up and slow down without it being 100% throttle or 0% through, I didn't realize until installing how much of a difference it would actually make. Wild.

Pedal must be malfunctioning!!! And I'm an electrician.
This is a potentiometer isn't it, 10k or 100k ohms I assume?? I'm an automation controls engineers, deal with analog controls all the time.....this should be easy for me....but here I am two hours later....must be a bad unit...I've got a good 5V coming in, and nothing coming out on green wire, no sign of voltage... Wish they would state the specification, 10k or 100k ohms, so I could just test that...

Mounting is completely different than what the cars come with.
And the overall quality and connectors are very cheap.

Good Variable Speed Pedal With a Challenge to Install Though
This foot pedal does a good job of interfacing to the motor controller, but the installation is a bit of a pain. You cannot push the pedal down without making a cutout for the back plunger to swing through the whole range. For example, if you simply try and mount the switch on a flat surface, the plunger arm doesn't have a means of swinging through the bottom surface mount. So you have to fabricate a mount that either raises up the pedal, or cut a hole in the bottom plate, making sure you have room on the bottom for the full range of motion. In my opinion, it would not take much from the manufacturer to provide a frame mount for this so that the end user doesn't have to fabricate one for themselves.
