From the Publisher Review: A Tattooed Chef, a Time-Bending Apartment, and All the Butterflies in My Stomach!! - Okay, hear me out — I’ve read a lot of romance novels. Like, enough to open my own heartbreak café. But The Seven Year Slip? This one? It slipped right into my heart and locked the door. This book is everything. The plot isn’t just “boy meets girl”—it’s girl steps into a magical apartment that lets her fall in love across time (yes, time!!). It’s whimsical, it’s dreamy, and it’s refreshingly different. Now let’s talk about Iwan—the man, the myth, the tattooed chef legend. He’s charming, mysterious, sweet, and hot enough to make you preheat your oven just thinking about him. His character was built so beautifully, it felt like I could smell the spices on his apron and see the ink on his arms. He’s cute, complex, and the kind of MMC who makes your standards skyrocket. And our FMC? Chef’s kiss. She’s strong, independent, vulnerable in the right ways, and I swear she walked straight out of a self-love Pinterest board. She’s my new role model — smart, brave, and unapologetically real. The writing? Oh honey — the quotes, the banter, the tender little moments? I practically annotated the entire book. I was giggling, swooning, and full-on kicking my legs like a high schooler with a crush. The butterflies were not just in my stomach—they were hosting a whole garden party. If you love romance with a twist of magic, a dash of longing, and enough emotional depth to make your heart do a somersault—read this book. Trust me. You won’t stop smiling (or daydreaming about tattooed chefs) for days. Review: Heartwarming, Delicious, and Uniquely Different - Not just a romance, Seven Year Slip is a heartwarming journey that beautifully blends friendship, love, and life’s many emotions. The storyline stands out with a unique time travel twist at its core, keeping it intriguing and different from the usual romance reads. The book is full of light humor, inspirational life lessons, and yes… plenty of mouth-watering food moments 😄. It’s a reminder to live fully, follow your passions, embrace change, and savor every moment. Unlike my first romance read, this one has a satisfying happy ending, which makes it even more enjoyable. A gentle word of advice: don’t read it at midnight unless you’re ready to crave all the delicious dishes described in it! Overall, it’s an inspiring, fun, and heartwarming read that I’d recommend to anyone looking for romance with depth, humor, and a sprinkle of adventure.

A magical read which made me weep in the end
“ You’re chasing the moon” “Whatever you say, Lemon” The seven-year-old slip by Ashley Poston is my first book by her. Man! She is so magical in writing ❤️, I couldn’t put it down once I started; it was a magical heaven to read this book. I couldn’t believe it. That I'm clearly rooting for romantic books. Still, I'm not for smut romance nor dark romance. Anytime in for magical realism right now. I cried last night while finishing this book at exactly 12 am; that’s today officially. I am not a wide awake person to late nights, but this one was so heartfelt yet heartbreaking. Clementine West, who is working at Strauss & Adder as a publicist in book marketing. Along with her, Drew and Fiona are her friends who work together. Clementine stays in her aunt's apartment. She and her aunt travel every summer around the world to enjoy themselves. Her aunt was so dear to her. She is someone who always makes Clementine believe in magical things with her stories. Later on, that year in the new year, she received a call from her mother that her aunt is no more. She was the only person who missed her very dearly. Iwan, a chef who is very famous in the olive branch. He lives in the past, 7 years from the present. He was staying in Clementine’s aunt's apartment when she returned from the summer. She stumbled to see the stranger in her aunt's apartment. He is such a green forest man. Ufff!!! The man I craved for in real life 😫😫😫😫. The way he calls Clementine by the sweet name "Lemon." That’s where I fell for him. The author has magic in her writing to get deeply into the world of magic realism, time travel, and not to forget about grief. I'm not spilling many beans. Go read if you love magical realism. This will be my favorite read from this month. “The love stays. The love always stays, and so do we.”

5 star read
The Seven Year Slip is a whimsical, time-bending romance that asks: what if the love of your life lived seven years in the past? Clementine inherits her late aunt’s apartment, only to discover that sometimes it slips in time and that’s when she meets Iwan, a charming chef living seven years earlier. What I loved most was how Ashley Poston blended magical realism with grief, healing, and hope. The romance is tender and bittersweet, but it’s also about Clementine learning to live fully in her own present. The time-slip element adds just the right amount of magic to make the love story unforgettable. It’s heartwarming, emotional, and the kind of book that leaves you smiling through tears. 💫💙

Never read anything like this before!!
To the person who recommended me this book — I hope your pillow always stays cold. Reading this book was a slow process, but I’m so glad I took my time with it and didn’t rush. It was such a memorable journey. This book is easily one of my favorite novels of all time. I’ve never come across a story so beautiful in its prose — one that so intricately describes every single thing while still making it enjoyable and unforgettable. I think I’ll carry the story of Clementine, Iwan, Analea, and Vera with me for the rest of my life. To put it shortly, without spoiling anything for whoever might be reading this review — Clementine inherits her aunt Analea’s magical apartment. Not because it’s fancy or luxurious, but because it takes you back in time, exactly when you need it the most. That’s what happens to Clementine when she meets Iwan — the same Iwan she doesn’t recognize in the present. It’s a beautiful story, and if you love books that feel like pure magic, or if you’re someone who believes life itself can be magical — then you definitely need to read this book! Just make sure you have some tissues handy.

Good
Book condition is quite good. Review: Clementine, a book publicist in her late 20s, had her career and life meticulously planned out until the sudden passing of her Aunt Analea. Inheriting her aunt's supposedly magical apartment, Clementine's world is turned upside down. One day, she walks in to find a man named Iwan, who had been subletting the apartment from her aunt seven years ago. Clementine possesses a unique blend of intelligence, resilience, and imperfections. Her life is a beautiful mess as she navigates the aftermath of losing someone dear to her heart. I loved to see her journey of self-discovery and experience the raw emotions of grief. Witnessing her growth and realization that both she and others evolve over time was truly captivating. She came to understand that it's perfectly alright to deviate from the path she once cherished if it no longer aligns with her present life. In this process, she unearths her true self and rediscovers the passions that once ignited her soul. James Iwan Ashton exudes kindness, charm, and sweetness. As a chef, his passion for creating the perfect meal is truly inspiring. He aims to craft dishes that evoke memories and hold a special place in your heart. His presence left me swooning and made this book my comfort rest. (He's now my new book boyfriend). He's just perfect Their connection was undeniable, and their affection for each other was evident. Their playful banters were so cute and I found it endearing how Iwan affectionately called Clementine "Lemon." It was so cute and sweet.😩💛 The epilogue should've been longer though. The ending felt a little bit rushed and I longed to see more of them together. I was absolutely captivated by this well-crafted story, which goes far beyond expectations. It delves into the complexities of sorrow, growth, self-realization, transformation, and the quest for love. There were bursts of laughter, moments of emotion, and tears that flowed effortlessly, making it impossible not to fall head over heels for this beautiful book. It's my comfort book now. It's not just a rom-com but more! Totally worth reading!🍋
