Performs as described
Performs as advertised. But not sure how it's better than Google Translate on your phone.

140 languages. Easy to use. I don’t know what I did before buying this.
Handheld translator useable in real time for conversations and to translate written text. Super easy and intuitive. Transcribes verbal translations so there’s a record of who said what to whom. I don’t know what I did without this. 140 languages and doesn’t need WiFi to be effective. Great, simple design, small enough, light enough. Easy to hold. A great deal for the price and everything it does.

Decent product. It’s worth half the price.
Cons: It takes a long time for the product to turn on. The letters are small so when I type, I constantly make mistakes and have to redo what I typed. This causes great delay in conversation. The battery doesn’t last long and it takes a long time to charge. I wish the device acted more like a smart phone when it comes to ease of use. It’s close but way too slow. Pros: It does work and I didn’t need internet. I used it for in Japan for translating Japanese, Korean, Spanish and English.

Trash, just use your phone
My experience with this device and bringing it to Columbia for a month while I was recovering from plastic surgery was that it barely was able to register when people spoke into it, no matter how used it or what side you spoken to. Not only that, but the buttons were constantly getting stuck the top button that turns a product on and off sticks at least for me. Another issue is that the satellites at connect this device to the Internet suck so it takes a long time to power on. Skip and just use your phone. I will be returning.

After 10 translations, you have to reset
And actually does a great job. It has its own cell phone service which is great but after 10 translations, you have to reset the phone to redo it again so it stops you after 10 translations.

Don't buy if going to Romania
I bought this to take with me on a trip to Romania this summer and it was totally useless. The person speaking has to be close to the device and speak slowly, which is totally embarrassing. It could not detect multiple speakers, so I missed out on everything. A total waste of money given it doesn't do as it claims in the seller's ad. I was gone for over a month, so I'm stuck with a $400 piece of junk.
