How much current can each individual stud carry?

Current carrying capacity for an M8 terminal bolt is 150 amp so wouldn't go above that. Well under that would probably be advisable I think? Purchased this for 12v camper conversion so the whole thing carried 70A max so never really considered max amps/stud.

Hi, mine are only used for a maximum of 400A for in-rush current (when you turn motors on, etc), although the heat also depends on your cables that connect to it, cables will naturally cool the block down by sinking the heat away if they are of the correct size; although the same is true with heat, if the cables that are attached are too small they would heat up, and it turn heat the block up. Also, if your connections are not so good this can cause localized heating also; if this is the case copper grease can be used on the connections to reduce resistance, although I would want to check the heat of the block first and whether the copper grease works to that temperature. Its an interesting question. I bought as 400amps so each should be able to carry that load . As long as you aren't pulling more than 400amps
