thanks for the recommendations
My 2 year old son LOVES this video, and it has certainly helped him with his counting skills. He has learned a few other things as well, a couple of animals, and some new vocabulary. I just got finished ordering a few other Maisy videos. He cannot get enough of this video. He calls the video "Maisy Again", because whenever he asks for it, his father says "Maisy AGAIN???"

Educational video
As I was potty training my daughter she ended up watching this video and now wants to go to bed exactly like Maisy, brushing her teeth, washing her face, and, yes, going potty. Thanks to Miasy, my daughter actually keeps a nightly routine that's "just like Maisy."

very nice
What a wonderfully educational video. Especially great for the train and truck lover. Very colorful. Great for teaching number recognition and the concept of counting. I highly recommend this for your toddler. I run a home-day-care and have lots of experience with kids.

Fantastic for my 2 yr old little boy!
Wow....found this vhs at a garage sale for a quarter and it was the best spent quarter ever. I popped it in for my 2 yr old son and he was instantly glued! Supercute, simple animation - great, catchy songs - teaches about trains, counting, trucks, etc. I think lil girls would still love this too, its just aimed toward more boyish things. Highly recommended for toddlers!

Simple and wonderful for kids
I am not familiar with Maisy from her popular series of books, but I intend to become more familiar with both the books and more of the videos because my 20 month old absolutely loves her. The animation is crude but I believe this is purposeful -- simply drawn characters and surroundings so they are easily followed by small children. To illustrate how much my toddler loves Maisy: He was falling asleep before he had dinner, so I said to him, "Do you want to watch Maisy?" He jumped up as if he had not been on the verge of sleep and said, "Izzy?" and ran to the TV. We watched "Maisy" while he ate his dinner.

You'll love the music!
I don't care much for the music in most toddler videos, but this one has changed my mind - and my husband's! With a reggae beat and cute words, these songs resonate in my mind, and I don't mind it a bit. Some might think, as with Telletubbies, that the mouse speaks unintelligible English, but, as with Telletubbies, the narrator speaks excruciatingly correct English (much like the interaction between an adult and a 2-year old). The ultimate judge, of course, is too young to write his opinion. But from his resounding pleas to watch "MOUSE! " every day, I imagine he would definitely give it an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Maisy's Bedtime is a must for parents
I am not a Maisy fan. I find the art very crude and Maisy's tendency to go from child to adult to child very inconsistent. the songs in-between the shorts have okay music but the lyrics are almost unhearable. But, this particular video is a wonder. It has all of the flaws of the series but it has one redeeming feature that makes it worth it.Two of the stories are roughly about bedtime. One has Maisy getting ready for bed. Another has her being interrupted in the bath. In another story she plays in a park and meets a dog. In the most pointless of the stories, Maisy packs a picnic that is stolen by a bunch of animals. They thank her by helping her get a apple from a tree (what does this teach?).Why do I recommend it? Well, in the Maisy's Bedtime story, as she is getting ready for bed, she realizes she has forgotten something. The next scene has her sitting on the toilet. She gets up, wipes and flushes (they didn't have cartoons like this when I was a kid!). While I was surprised, my daughter decided she wanted to learn how to use the potty. That is what makes this video a must. I can only wonder how things would be had my daughter not watched this video. Of course she also wants to brush her teeth by stepping on the toothpaste like Maisy does but that is minor compared to the benefit. My advice, stay away from Maisy unless you have a child of the right age, then let them watch this one. It just might make parenting easier.
