Nice for PS4
Recently did maintenance on my PS4 and replaced the dried out thermal compound on the CPU (with thermal compound, not these pads...) and replaced the thermal pads on the memory chips. These cut to size easily and are a great improvement over the factory thermal pads. The old OG PS4 no longer sounds like a fighter jet, it's nice and quiet and cool.

Works as advertised
Very satisfied. This stuff is fragile but after handling it carefully and installing it I am happy to report a decrease on NVMe 1 of 9 degrees cooler and the other slots 2-5 are 6 degrees cooler. Its is making a huge difference and I expect it will increase the life of $1600 worth of NVMe's.

The caveat is one must go inside:
The idea is to put this heat spreader on a SSD drive, and have it get compressed on the metal chassis of a laptop. Great idea, but many people should not go inside of their laptops. My latest and greatest laptop had the SSD drive heat already addressed with a silicone cushion, like this product, and a copper plate! In Ubuntu, install PSensor, and turn on Start Up automatically, and turn on Notifications and Alarm gate at like 70 degrees C and 80% CPU use, and put the "experimental" values in the notification area. These should work well on RAM, too. Blow out the fan regularly with compressed air, and way cool!I no longer screw around with CPUs. Mine are now soldered in and whatever cooling they have is what it is from the factory. My PSensor window is a 'hide on startup'.Remember, heat is the killer!I gave three stars for "Easy To Install." I've been in phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops, and when I do it for others, "I am not bonded/insured. I do not indemnify any damage or utter destruction that I do."I will experiment with an external M.2 PCIe enclosure, but unfortunately, the case slides over the length of the SSD.Without heat spreading/cooling, quality parts will throttle/slow down, and cheap parts will kill themselves. Back in the day, I was overclocking an Athlon Thunderbird, and had a bit of an electrical fire, I guess. Where there is smoke, there is fire, right? There are zillions of 'going inside' YouTubes, and I have a set of 'pry bars'. Knowing which screws, where to ply the clips, if any, and where things are glued (tablets), makes invasion safer.Find your exact model, and search for exact instructions with pictures and/or video.Like surgery:See one.Do one.Teach.UPDATE: These can also be used for RAM.

Best Thermal Pads Out There!
Tried many different types, even the ones that are typically included with M.2 heat sink kits. As many will know, most low-cost kits come with paper thin pads that stretch & are hard as hell to work with. These Artic TP-3's are nothing like that. The protective plastic makes them easy to separate, peel and place. These also stick good but if you're careful, you can peel and reposition. Dropped the two WD Red NVME cache sticks by 4 to 5 degrees 'C in my Qnap NAS.I highly recommend these pads - don't wait for them to drop in price - just buy them & prosper!

Good, but not the best for gaming laptops
Replaced the thermal paste on my laptop, runs like factory temps again, but it does seem to loose thermal conductivity when it warms up, when I replaced my ps3's thermal paste with the pads it worked beautifully though, running cooler than factory

Thermal Pads
These things felt cool to the touch and were rather soft and malleable. Some tips:The strips are LONG. I cut them in half, but for some SSD's you'll need to cut it a little longer than half way for full coverage.I recommend getting thinner pads if you are using an SSD in an external case. The one I use scrapped a lot of and made a mess. These were still great, though.
