Mix of value, features, and quality
This drill press offers plenty of value and features for the price. Shipping was fast, and the unit was well packaged with plenty of foam and a double corrugated box. Setup was quick and easy. It is a tall unit (which means plenty of vertical work space), so be sure to bolt it down. Motor seems plenty powerful. As another reviewer mentioned, the flat table is better suited for clamping materials or bolting a vise compared to similar products. Once the work piece is setup and aligned with the chuck, the table locks firmly into place. The speed adjustment lever works well and is very user friendly. This is a significant improvement over the old method on drill presses from the past where the user needed to manually move the belts on the pulleys to change the drive ratio / speed. The switches, safety stop and speed indicator seem higher quality than competitors in it's class. One thing to consider, though the depth adjustment knob featured on this model is a faster, accurate, and better solution than the threaded rod and nut limiter found on most drill presses, it does not allow for locking the quill in a down position. Overall, for the price, I highly recommend it.

Don't think, GET This
This Press screams quality and features. After using a Ryobi Drill press for over 20 years it finally gave up the ghost last sunday. I was already thinking about upgrading the chuck and changed the belt twice. One of the spindles cracked. It served me well but realized I deserved something better. I went on Youtube looked at the comparison videos and out of all the drill presses I chose Buck Tools. I have one of their combo belt disc sanders wish is rock solid so I was familiar with the brand. The deciding factor beside the build quality it gives you almost 2" more length at the lowest table position. Also the table does not have the underneath boarder around the edge that makes clamping awkward. The lazer is dead accurate. I have used and still do all the big box brands Ridgid, Dewalt ,Makita , Milwauke, and Harbor Freight . Trust me when I tell you the build on this beast is no joke. I never leave reviews but if your looking for a great drill press at an unbelievable price , you can't go wrong. It is very heavy in the box almsot 100lbs, but assembly was a breeze. Super fast shipping I ordered it on sunday and it arrived on tuesday. It said delivery between June 29 and July 1. I started lifting weights and doing pushups to get ready and when I saw it my job, I was like oh man how am I gonna do this? I got some straps from home depot pushed it to the end of the loading dock lifted it up put it in the back seat . Got it home put it on hand truck got in the side door got in front of it walked it down the stairs. Once unpacked it is managable. It advises 2 people to lift it on the pedestal for safety, however I was able to do it my self. Fantastic piece I can't wait to put it through its paces. Almost forgot digital read out and speed is adjustable via a lever. no more loosening and re tension the motor to change the belt. My Ryobi died as it wanted me to get something better (lol)

Pretty good for the price
This unit is a pretty solid unit and will work well for the home DIY projects. It is easy to assemble just assemble it close to where you are going to put it because it is on the heavy side. The pros... A really good motor which gives it plenty of power. The laser was spot on out of the box and no adjustments were needed. The work light puts light exactly where you want it. For less then 300 bucks it is hard to beat. The variable speed control lever is awesome. You can easily adjust the RPMs to get to the speed you need based on the material you are working with. The digital display is great. The cons. The table, it is a bit small and round would be better then square. The Jacobs key is located behind the spindles and that makes it harder to grab or put away easily. The height of the unit is almost 40 inches tall, so its a bit big to sit on a work bench but it does put what you are working on pretty much just below eye level. All in all this has been a good drill thus far been a good buy and i would recommend it

Great buy for a product that does great work.
First and foremost, it is not one of those $Brazillion$ Machine Shop thingys that you have to take a two year course to learn how to use it ! You’ll do just fine with a little common sense and patience. I’ve had this one for couple of months and I’m quite pleased with it. Check out its features…laser bit alignment, work light, speed control, depth control, deck level hand crank, low noise, and a well made item. It is also very well priced. I believe you will be very pleased with it.

Well worth the price.
The drill press is an excellent tool. The built in light and laser are nice additions considering the price point. The assembly was a little confusing but not too difficult. Just ensure the track is place in the table groove before sliding onto the column and every thing went smoothly after that.

No Regrets
I don’t know what I would do without this drill press. I shopped around for over and month and figured I’d go with the Buck Tool version. I’m not disappointed. Switching bits is a breeze and the depth stop on this is on another level. Better than a lock nut depth stop. Having the rpms displayed in front of me and not having to move the belt to change the speed is awesome. I mostly use Rekon tools for my woodworking but this is my second buck tool that I’ve added to my collection and I’m not disappointed. It was in my budget and with all of the bells and whistles I can honestly say I’m overtly pleased with my purchase.
