Q: What drivers and software do i need to reflash an eeprom 25 chip? not having much luck so far 😞

Phil W's suggestion to use flashrom on Linux is good and is what I did - didn't need any other drivers or software. On Ubuntu I had to use 'sudo flashrom' otherwise I got a libusb error accessing the programmer. If you're stuck on Windows search for the 'One Transistor' blog and there is an article about this CH341A Mini Programmer where the author references various downloads from the chip manufacturer's (WCH) Chinese web site. There is also a YouTube video mentioned in one of the reviews titled 'Installing Drivers for the USB Bios Chip Programmer CH341A (Black Edition)' that might help. Finally make sure the jumper is across pins 1+2 and you've got the 25 SPI flash chip inserted as per the picture on the PCB - it goes in the half of the socket nearest the USB port, with the notch pointing away from the the USB port.

Yes. So long as you have access to a viable flash image for that chip and you know the type of flash controller it uses.
