Great fun
Very American but very funny.... great for reading to your 5,6,7,8 year old. The language and Americanisms may cause some confusion amongst British youngsters reading this for themselves (eg 'bestest', 'blucky', 'dumb') but it's hugely entertaining fare and if it encourages them to pick up a book, that has to be a good thing.

Really recommended for first independent reading
Really recommended for first independent reading. My daughter is 8, and loves these. She's an average reader, and can access these entirely alone. A really good six-year old reader could also read them.

My daughter loves Junie B. She kind of dreaded reading for daily homework or in general. However, AR at school requires reading and she picked up a Junie B book from the library, mainly because the cover looked fun and interesting. However, she breezed through the book and wanted another one! I jumped online so quick and ordered more! She's in 3rd grade and the Junie B series will continue to be added to her NEW collection. It was the 1st time I seen her so engaged, a continuous smile, and lots of laughter while reading!! Even the dog loved to hear her read!!!
