A good converter kit
A perfect piece of kit.Fitted together like a glove.A good way to convert your internal DVD drive into an external drive.

Extremely well made, very sturdy metal case. Fits together with extreme accuracy. Well designed connectivity and plenty of room for even the largest drive. Only downside is that UK users will need to provide a UK standard 12v DC 3 amp power supply.

Works but expensive
Works fine but is quite expensive for what it is. These caddies are getting rare as hens teeth since optical drives go out of fashion.

The one time I didn't check reviews....
Vantec NexStar DX2 USB 3.0 External Enclosure:....resulted in me not realising that this would arrive with a US plug. Not a major issue but still, it would have been nice to avoid it. I may have a UK equivalent plug somewhere but I will leave that for my next clean up and organising day.The enclosure is built very well but I don't think I would have paid the current £90~ for it. I paid £60~ about 6 months ago.Setting it up was simple and I am now happy that I have this as it looks like it will last a long time.

Good build case, but US power adapter
It is what it is, a decent 5.25" enclosure with good build quality.... but supplied with a US power adapter, whilst I have an adapter to fit it really should be shipped with something more universal for the price.

Everything lines up and fits perfectly
Good quality product, very easy to put together, arrived earlier than expected and is now on my desk and working perfectly, actually both working perfectly.
