Would this hold a page per day diary?

Size wise it would do provided it was a 6 ring a5. May look a bit bulky though - I had the day per page on a Filofax , but a tight fit.

Do the standard A5 refils from filofax fit in this book?

No not all do ! I bought desperate clip book paper etc but expensive. Gave to say though, I live mine and use it as my work and meeting diary you won’t be disappointed 😊

Can you buy a hole punch which would fit this?

Yes, there are suitable hole punches, but you have to ensure the paper is lined up correctly with the A5 line in the middle of the punch. You also have to turn the paper over to do the other end. It's not as complicated as it sounds, but you have to punch each set of three holes separately.
