Best cutter for opening boxes!
I bought these cutters to use to open boxes when we were moving. I was a little bit skeptical that they would be long lasting because the blade is so tiny. However, after having them for three months and using them pretty much daily, they are still extremely sharp and work so well. I really love this little cutter. I feel safe with my teen daughter using it and I never worry that she's going to cut off a finger like I did when she would use our big box cutter. This little cutter is amazing and if I ever lose it, I will definitely buy more.

Fantastic tool to have around
Don’t debate, just buy it! Great tool and you will not regret it. I bought mine 3.5yrs ago and am just now looking to replace it with a new one. Works as shown, small and easy to hold, safe if you have kids around, long lasting and magnetized Love Love Love. Get it!

Works great!
Works as advertised and is a handy tool for my job. I am able to slice through thin plastic packaging and single layer packing tape with ease. While it is MOSTLY skin safe, I learned the hard way (while demonstrating it to coworkers, no less) that while thicker finger pads *might* not get cut so easily, it can absolutely still break skin 😅 I’m not mad about it, just wish I hadn’t been so overzealous to show them how it worked on myself 🤦♀️ still recommend! Small size and ability to throw onto a key ring makes it very easy to grab when needed and store afterwards.

Magnetic and convient for opening taped boxes
This cutter works well for flat items, such as opening box tape, cutting coupons, or slicing through a bag placed on a stable surface. However, results can be inconsistent when cutting items that aren’t completely flat, like a produce bag held in one hand, since the cutting edge of the small ceramic blade may shift away from the intended spot with any movement. The blade retains its sharpness far longer than a traditional metal utility blade while remaining finger-safe. (However, it -can- chip if dropped onto a hard surface at just the right angle, making the small blade even smaller.) Can be easily attached to any magnetic surface such as a fridge or metal filing cabinet for convenient storage. (Or there's also a key ring hole, but don't know if I'd want a mini ceramic blade in my pocket, that while finger/skin-safe, may accidently cut though fabric fibers given the chance.)

GREAT TO HSVE AROUND
My wife first got a similar product from pampered chef years ago. Recently it finally broke. I found these, and are exactly like the one we had before except the color. This is a great little cutter. It has a small magnet built into it. So it easily hangs on the side of a refrigerator. It opens up boxes, letters very easily and is only about 3" long. I didn't realize how much we used it until the old one finally broke. After a few weeks i knew we had to find another and I found this. This is a very simple mostly safe little cutter. It easily cuts through packaging tape on boxes, will slice through an envelope, to open mail. The blade is very small, but does the job. It could be a choking hazard for small children, so you will want to keep it out of reach to them. I bought 2 of them. 1 for the kitchen and 1 for the office to open mail. It is a very nice handy cutter that will last a long time.

Did I just purchase a “lemon”?
I like the concept. I dislike the fact that little tiny blade got even smaller the first time I used it. The blade moved up into the mechanism each time I cut something. Also, little bit of the blade crumbled off right away. I can now barely see the blade and it will hardly cut the labels off the Amazon paper bags. The blade is now pretty much flush with the part where it is attached. The labels on plastic shipping bags now need help with scissors with this little contraption. The fuel to return it would be the same cost as the trip to return it. Soooooo…. I will use it on what it will work on and then I will trash it—and that won’t be long. Even though the blade is almost not visible, it still cuts a few things if a lot of pressure is applied. It’s like a car running out of gas and you have to eeek out every drop to get to a gas station. I do not like giving bad reviews. I wish I could have give this item a full five stars. I do like the concept of safety and some others advantages. If it just would have kept its blade!! I take labels with my address off packages so that can shred the labels. I won’t ever order this product again because it only cut two or three labels off from three bags when the blade moved up into the mechanism. It also had a little tiny piece of the blade crumble off right at the beginning of using it. It was disappointing, but not the end of the world. I did find something that works without having to use scissors. I would have liked this idea better it had worked. I’m glad it worked well for those who had a good experience. UPDATE:: Well, last night I was looking something to cut a precise parchment liner for my one piece stainless steel angel food tube cake pans. Whatta ya know!! Found this little contraption in my drawer of kitchen tool. Glad I didn’t throw it away. It worked like a charm even though the little tiny sliver of the blade was visible. I made a form for tracing the shape I need for lining the pans. Put a padding of paper towel under the parchment and just ran this little tool over it. Worked better than anything else i have tried for lining parchment for cake pans. I have changed my opinion. It’s a keeper! Going to order a couple more. I might not use it for anything else, but what it does on cutting parchment makes it well worth it. I’m giving it 5 stars instead of the one star on my original review.

Not for most cardboard or packing tape
I didn’t find this tool very useful, but I needed something small that could open cardboard boxes and items sealed with packing tape. It could handle small jobs, but it wasn’t generally useful in my home. It was good for small hands, it was designed well, the tiny blade was sharp, but it wasn’t the all purpose box cutter that I needed. But I think it would be great if safety was the number one priority for someone.

In the picture, it looked big, but a very small green thing arrived, and its little tooth is really tiny. Updating the review. Over time, it turned out that this thing is quite useful. You can cut through films if you're not wary of slightly damaging what's underneath the film.

Taglia veramente bene scotch, carta e cartone, ovviamente la lama è minuscola quindi va impugnato correttamente. Quasi magico il fatto che non può tagliare la pelle (in generale le cose morbide)

I've been using the same Stanley Knife for years. This feels a lot safer to use, is compact enough to carry around if you need to and works well on all the boxes I've tried to open.
