Good product
Product was worth it for me, brought to build my 1st PC as a precaution to any static and it did the job.

No frill anti statc mat
Not too much to say about this apart from it works fine, I used it on a dining table and used a nearby radiator as a ground point.Mat seems well made and is a decent size allowing me to work on a mid size atx case with space for tools etc.The white faces up which is good as it is easier to see where you have put your screws etc.Only minor gripes would be the grounding cable could be a bit longer and the crocodile clip should be twice the size to aid clipping onto an earthing point.

Extremely poor quality
Extremely poor quality, very thin and flaccid ESD layer (everything laying on it leaves hole marks), foamy underlay instead of rubber one. Not worth even 20% of the price.

Quite poor quality, not flattened easily
Had to flatten it gently with a heat gun. The surface is very easily damaged, especially with a soldering iron. I've got a mat from other manufacturer that is way resilient to soldering on it and has become flat almost immediately after it was unwrapped. You get what you pay for.

Useless if you wish to solder
I've been a loyal user of Startech products for many years as the quality and value for money has been good. This mat however is the exception. Any splash, drip or removed warm component just sinks info the surface. Trying to remove even a tiny bead of solder rips open a much larger area.In my opinion the material used is unsuitable for this application.

Won't lay flat
I can't questions the mat's ability to conduct static, I assume it does that, but it just won't lay flat. Needs gluing down. I sent it back for refund. I guess you get what you pay for, it is cheap.
