EverOne Burnshield Dressing, 4" x 4", 2 Count

The current reviews didn’t have any photos so it was hard to envision what this would look like. It is a large sized foamy pad that is very wet -almost goopy. I put it on my son and he said it felt good, no stinging or burning. He said it felt cool and comfortable and has not complained about itching or pain for hours. I used a loose ace bandage to keep it in place. Cannot comment yet on long term results but this was the best alternative to any of the Hydro gel bandages that all have adhesive around the edges or require tape - which defeats the purpose of putting it on a larger area like a sunburn. Price is high but given the relief I will re-order. I do believe you could cut these if you needed a smaller piece and clip the package up to ensure it doesn’t dry out. Also if using for an area that is not a sunburn a piece of light gauze with some paper tape would probably secure it. Just be aware that it is very wet which creates weight so gravity will do its thing.

A family member had a burn when hot liquid fell from a microwave and burned their chest and throat. It was a bad burn. Good to be prepared.

I very much appreciate not having to make a trip to the ER (again) due to a 2nd degree burn. Especially now during Covid. I learned some tricks the first time, and that is, dressing it properly! This isn't the same level of dressing that you would get at the burn center, but it's better than suffering! It's basically a goop drenched sponge pad and will need to be wrapped with gauze or something. There was am immediate cooling of the raging burn and encouraged the healing process with minimal scarring.
