J&D's Bacon Salt, Original, 2.6 Ounce, Bacon-Flavored Seasoning Salt, Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher

Before purchasing any of the various flavors of J&D's Bacon Salt, I have to warn anyone to seriously consider the dangers. Are you okay with purchasing a condiment that will completely change the way you look at food? Do you want every trip out to a restaurant be tainted with thoughts of, "this would taste better with bacon salt" (I'd actually recommend bringing it everywhere, not worrying about the strange looks of others as they aren't worthy)? And lastly, how will your day-to-day activities be impacted by sleepless nights due to the taste haunting your taste buds, salivating for one last hint of bacon salt? If you think you can handle all of this and are ready to make one of the biggest lifestyle changes you will ever make, than I cannot recommend this product enough, as it will essentially be a paradigm shift in the way you view food. No matter what flavor you go with whether it be Hickory, Cheddar, Applewood, Peppered, Original, or my personal favorite, the star of this show Jalapeno, you can't go wrong. Each one brings it's own flavor to the table and you'll never want it to leave said table. I've been seasoning everything I eat with Jalapeno bacon salt ever since purchasing it, whether it be a cup of ramen, or a fine ham steak, to mashed potatoes and even bacon itself. Pasta? Bacon salt. Steak? Bacon salt. Soup? Bacon salt. Cereal? Bacon salt. Ice cream? I think you know where I'm going. I'm attached to the jalapeno variant especially because of the slight spice it brings with it which can liven anything up. Fair warning, the "bacon" taste doesn't actually taste like bacon, but if you thought any seasoning would come close to replicating the highest of all foods, you might not be worthy either. I've even taken this tableside to Cici's Pizza (which if you've been there before, you'll be aware the pizza needs a little something more) and it completely changed the taste. Like all seasonings, be sure if you load up your food with salt that you do not breathe this in by accident, it doesn't play well in the lungs. This belongs on your tongue, stomach, and if you fancy, bring it in the bedroom; you won't regret it. At just around $5, you can't really go wrong. Buy one for home, for work, keep one in the car for on-the-go bacon salt emergencies even! You will never want to be without bacon salt in your life ever again, and I guarantee you will never look at food the same again and hate every past day you went without it. PS: I didn't myself experience any of the clumping issues any of the reviewers talked about, though being a seasoning I'd say anything is susceptible to this depending on storage. I've kept it in my car for days (and no, I do NOT have a problem), and even being in 100+ degree Florida summer heat, no clumping yet.

This product, J&D's Bacon Salt, is supposed to give food the taste of bacon. I have used it several times and never tasted bacon.

Very strong flavour, I had to start mixing it with other food as after a few spoonfuls it can get sickly.

E' un mix di spezie vegano, peccato che non da affatto sapore di pancetta. L'unica cosa positiva, è che se usato come mix di condimento, può dare sapore di affumicato, ma finisce li... lo sconsiglio

... aber diese Gewürzmischung ist schon eine besondere Herausforderung an die Geschmacksnerven, finde ich. Mit Speck (oder gar Cheddar) hat der Geschmack für mich recht wenig zu tun. Am ehesten noch schmeckt dieses Pulver wie zerbröselte BBQ-Chips oä. Gar nicht mein Geschmack, leider. Und für diesen Preis dann eine echte Enttäuschung. Die Packung ist kleiner als gedacht, die Löcher im Deckel der Streudose sind viel zu groß, sodass einem das Dosieren wirklich schwer fällt. Ich hoffe, ich kann das Pulver irgendwie im Bekanntenkreis verschenken - zum Wegschmeißen ist es nun doch viel zu teuer gewesen. leider keine Empfehlung von mir.
