JSAUX ModCase Compatible with Steam Deck, PC0104 Modular Valve Accessories Include Protective Case, Face Cover, Metal Bracket and Strap - Basic Set

I want to quickly point out a few bad points because they are honestly quite small in the grand scheme of things:- The kick stand drops down a little bit when you're holding the steam deck. This isn't a big deal, but instead of sitting flush to the deck, gravity pulls it down about 1cm away from the back of the case. This doesn't appear to affect the kickstands ability when you are actually using it though.- The trigger buttons are still slightly exposed. I feel like this is one of the most common negatives I see for this case, but honestly I am not convinced it is actually THAT big of a deal. I definitely would not feel worried at all about the triggers if I was just throwing this into a bag (I use a bag with a dedicated Steam Deck slot though so this is even less of a concern for me personally).- I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing, but the front case is a little awkward to get off because it sticks to the front of the deck so well. The way I end up taking it off, is resting the deck on my lap and then holding both ends with my fingers and using my thumbs to push the front case up and off the deck. This can sometimes end up with the front case flipping up and away from you so you have to be careful not to fling it on the floor.The good things:- Everything feels study and the fit is fantastic.- It doesn't feel bulky at all and when I am using the deck you don't even notice that there is a case on it.- The front cover fits really well and is very study in place. Absolutely no worries that it will accidentally fall off, the analogue sticks are well protected and so you don't have to worry about them breaking in your bag from being pushed and held in one direction. The triggers are also really well protected, even if they aren't completely covered.- There is a cut out for the charging port that allows for those 90 degree angle charging cables to be used. Or just about any charging cable you have really.The kickstand works really well and it feels nice and stable when it is resting up. There is only one angle you can set it to, but I feel like it is a decent angle personally.- The volume and power buttons are covered up for protection but easily able to be pressed.- The accessory I got to hold a power bank or similar on the back of the case works really well. I tested it with my INIU 25000mAh power bank and it holds it in place well and feels nice and safe. The fastening can be a little fidgety but it gives me more confidence that they will stay in place as a result so I guess it is a positive rather than negative.I cannot test the cover that came with it for a Dock, because I don't have a dock to test it with, but I assume based on the rest of the product that this is also good quality.Conclusion: Overall, it is pretty close to perfect in my opinion. It is a lot cheaper than the Killswitch case which is the other major one that most people recommend, and I don't think there is likely to be much difference in quality (It sounds like the Killswitch case will be marginally better, but it is also more than double the price)If you want a good quality case but don't want to break the bank, then I highly recommend this case.

Put this case on the day it arrived and haven’t taken it off since. It’s super sturdy and fits really well. You can tell the quality is very premium the moment you hold it. Its easy to install, not heavy, feel is amazing.What I really like is that it keeps the joycons protected which helps avoid stick drift. That’s actually why I left the original case behind. This one just feels a lot more secure and better built.If you care about keeping your Steam Deck safe and want something that looks and feels top quality, this is a great pick. Love it.

Before I write my actual review I want to comment on something I've read in a few. A few people have mentioned a "flimsy rubber stand" in their reviews. It isn't actually a stand. Having looked at it, I realised it looked like a cover for a Dock, when I checked the box, it does list a "protect case for dock" (I'd assume a JSAUX model), it's a nice extra addition so you can place your Steam Deck on the dock with the case on. Most docks appear to be far too narrow, so this would have been a real bonus. I'm not sure why JSAUX don't mention it anywhere on the listing. I personally ordered the Mod Case with the attachable Dock, but... If I had known the case came with this piece, I probably would have opted for one of their stationary docks. 🤷🏽‍♂️Now for the actual review...The case is amazing. It feels solid and fits incredibly well, without restricting use. It adds a decent amount of weight to the deck, which I personally really do like. I'm quite tall and have big hands, and the added weight is just makes it feel more solid.As someone with big hands, the Steam Deck (without case) isn't the most ergonomic. Playing with the case on felt a lot more comfortable.The front cover is great as well, and padded, for the extra protection whioe on the move.The kickstand is also nice to have. It's solid metal, attaches firmly, and does not get in the way of play. I've used it when putting my Deck down to charge.The dock also attaches easily, and keeps the case standing well.I haven't tried the battery pack strap yet, but if the quality is comparable... I can't see what could go wrong.Easy 5*

Fits my steam deck like a glove and feels great I hav large hands so needed the extra material front cover goes on and comes off easy and the cooling fan does the trick of pulling heat away from the deck

Perfect case for the steamdeck. Replaces the valve one that comes with the deck. The backplate is quality, a great fit and very grippy. Feels premium and good in the hand. The snap on front protector when you finish is all you need to give your steamdeck 360 protection. Slides I the bag without a worry when in this case. Fully recommend and in my opinion a must have. All ports accessible. Great item.

Very good case for the price, provides the entire steam deck with protection, fits perfectly around all ports. Slipping the deck in can be tricky if you have custom triggers at the back but you can angle it in to make it fit. The cover stays firmly attached allowing you to throw it in a backpack. The accessories are good quality, the battery pack strap is long enough for most powerbanks. Although it says its not compatible with the jsaux custom backplates, the hole that the accessories attach to is over the top of the vent, so it doesn't really obstruct it.
