Product Description This is a re-release of Sepultura's biggest selling album to date. The classic thrash album by these Brazilian bashers now contains four previously unreleased bonus tracks. The group is currently supporting Ozzy Osbourne on his world tour. Knowing Sepultura's die-hard cult following, it's safe to assume this reissue will be a must for fans, especially since the original release has been unavailable for over seven months. desertcart.com For the first few albums of its career, Brazil's Sepultura was a better-than-average death metal band, but with the release of Chaos A.D., the group's true colors began to shine. In addition to focusing its rancor more deliberately, Sepultura began to flirt with tribal drumming and experimental guitar noises, elements that would later become trademarks for frontman Max Cavalera. In addition to creating torrents of volume, the band established a killer groove to propel its songs even during moments of sheer dissonance. The title track reveals Sepultura at its most caustic and aggressive, while "Kaiowas," with its tribal beats and acoustic guitar strums, exposes the band's more thought-provoking side. --Jon Wiederhorn Review: A definitive must have - An excellent album from what came to be one of the best bands ever to come out of the southern half of the Amercias. Fast, raw, hard, agressive and mind blowing though-and-though. The fast paced music will pick you up from any mood, it is excellent por a power run if you're into those things, because it definitively keeps you pumped up, and the now classic songs on it are assured to make everyone sing when they play. Review: True Metal Bliss! - Chaos A.D. is my first experience listening to Sepultura as a teenager back in the 90's. My friend loaned me the tape and I copied it. It grabbed me instantly! Refuse/Resist hooked me for life! I had to find all of the others. It took awhile, but I eventually did. It was much harder to get ahold of good thrash/death metal back then. Now days, Sepultura is definitely in my top 5 favorites! If you love metal and don't know about Sepultura, NOW is the time to get into it. In fact, I envy everyone who hasn't heard Chaos.. hearing it for the 1st time is true metal bliss!

Classic Groove Metal Album
Classic metal album and really one of the best albums of Sepultura's long and amazing career. This album has the band shift from a being Death/Thrash Metal to incorporating a more Groove metal sound. This is also where this band really started to experiment with tribal sounds and industrial aspects which would dominate the sound of their next masterpiece, Roots. Classic tracks include Territory and Refuse/Resist.

going back & loving it!
This is an album that I got my hands on this back in like, I wanna say 93. Anyway I noticed that it was available through amazon & picked it up again. Let me tell you it plays well with others. Other badass heavy metal bands of course, that is. I have it thrown into a playlist consisting of bands like Dethklok, Slipknot, Machinehead, & Walking Corpse Syndrome. And let me tell you that the age difference is seamless & does not show at all. This album is one of the greatest ever put out buy the Cavalera brothers & even the actual band itself. (A note for those of you who weren't aware. While Sepultura still exist, many members, if not all from the original line-up have moved on.)

Chaos!
Chaos is exactly what you get when you listen to this cd. But it is in the best of ways! A classic that trransports you into another place and gives you a taste of the way it is on the end of the world. Its a look inside what its like to wear the other shoe and what creates the bodies that make the grass on the other side so much greener. Insightful as it is gritty and that much more perfect because of it.

An All Time Classic!
This record had a huge effect upon me as a writing musician. It took traditional thrash and blended it with Brazilian percussion, innovative guitar noise and even some acoustic music for good measure. The themes of social and corporate injustice still resonate throughout the world today. I can't say enough positive things about this record, other than - get it and you won't be disappointed!

SEPULTURA CHAOS AD
Excellent cd and well priced at Amazon. If you like hard core deep tone crunch Metal then this cd is for you. These guys are from Brazil. I followed them as a kid. This is the second time I bought this cd as I lost my first one. Well worth it these guys rock. One of their best albums.
