RAINPOINT Water Timer for Garden Hose - 2 Zone Sprinkler Timer with Rain Delay/Manual Watering/Automatic Irrigation for Yard Lawn

I’ve been using the RAINPOINT 2 Zone Water Timer for a few weeks now, and overall, it has been a reliable and convenient upgrade for managing my garden irrigation. Here are my thoughts:What I Like:Dual-Zone Functionality:Having two independently programmable zones is a game-changer. I use one zone for the lawn and the other for my raised garden beds. It allows me to tailor the watering schedule to each plant's needs, which saves both water and effort.User-Friendly Interface:The digital display is large and clear, and the buttons are easy to use. Setting up the watering times and durations took just a few minutes, even without the manual.Customizable Scheduling:You can program each zone with its own schedule (start time, frequency, duration), which is excellent for plants that need more or less water. It also supports both odd/even days and interval watering.Manual Watering Option:This feature is super handy when I want to water outside of the schedule—just a quick press and I can water on demand without affecting the regular schedule.Rain Delay Function:Especially useful during unpredictable spring showers. The delay feature helps conserve water and prevents overwatering after rain.A Few Downsides:Battery Operated:It runs on AA batteries (not included), and while battery life seems decent so far, I’ll need to monitor how often replacements are needed. A low-battery indicator would be a nice addition.No Wi-Fi or App Connectivity:For a tech-savvy gardener, the lack of smart features might feel limiting. This is more of a hands-on timer than a remote-controlled system.Hose Thread Sensitivity:I recommend using plumber’s tape when connecting the unit to avoid minor leaks. The fittings are good, but a little extra sealing makes a difference.

I purchased this RainPoint timer for my front lawn, roses and flower bed sprinkler system. This was a replacement of a different brand water time that I had, that no longer worked. I am very pleased with this timer. There are no drips and it's nice to rely on the timer going off early in the morning to water everything. The timer was very easy to install and set up. Much easier then the other timer I had. I would recommend this water timer.

Received last week, so far so good! Setup was easy and intuitive. I didn't have any issues with leakage at connection points, without the tape that came included. I liked the extra filter washer included, I may need that next year.I've had wifi or bluetooth connected timers before (BHyve) and have had reliability issues with them over the years so I'm going to simplicity this time. Hopefully this model lasts longer.Since I'm using this far away from my hose spigot out in a vegetable garden with multiple connections, I put it on top of a stone block with a plastic bin on top to prevent it from sitting in water when it rains.I'll update this review later if I have other thoughts, after I've used it a while.

This brand has good quality products and great customer service.Put this timer on no problem and no leaks so far.Runs off of AA batteries so you can swap them easily when it's low.They offer 5 year warranty when you register it which is amazing.I live in the desert so we'll see how long it lasts... I'll update after a few months

Works good so far. Loving the peace of mind that I do not have to worry about watering the grass. I set up two zones with 5 sprinklers. Flow rate is decent. I set it to water for 10 minutes every 4 hours. So far so good.

I ordered this last fall after a well known name brand product failed after 2 months of use. It’s been put to the test this spring and has performed very well. Easy to navigate and program, tight connections and a long warranty to stand behind it all.

Great Customer service. Original controller failed on one side. Customer service did a great job helping identifying that it actually failed and then quickly replacing.

I have owned the single version of this timer for quite some time and it has worked great. I bought this dual zone model for our family garden and I really like the accuracy and design of this model. However the only downside to this is the lack of times you can set it for. With it only have one time a day that you can set the auto timer for I have to go out and use the manual mode quite often especially on hot sunny days. Other than that it functions like it’s supposed to and the batteries last an entire year before I feel a need to change them. Great product!
