This anti ant product is FANTASTIC! I feed a feral cat and her bowl was ALWAYS so covered in ants when I went to pick it up that I couldn’t without the ants crawling up my arm! This morning there was not an ant around the bowl at all! I love that you don’t need to use a water moat (water that evaporates) or chemicals. Thank you for such a great product!

I was skeptical that this thing would work for my outdoor cat bowls, but it has been incredibly effective! As long as you are careful to keep a small distance from walls/furniture it keeps the ants completely baffled. I have had it in place over a week in the heat of summer in WV & have had a multitude of ants swarming around it, but none, yes I repeat, not a single ant has found it's way into the bowl on top!!!!!!! Hope I haven't jinxed it, lol!!!!

Was having a bad ant problem and my pup and I weren't having it anymore. You put the velcro on your pets bowl and the opposing side on the tray in the middle so it stays still.Then make sure it's not against a wall or table leg etc. And it's been a couple weeks and so far no ants have gotten to his food.So my dog and I are both happy we got this tray so far.Oh and you use your own dog bowl it doesn't come with a bowl it's just the tray you set the bowl on but it does work so far.Will update if anything changes

I was skeptical that an expensive piece of plastic would keep ants from invading the cats' dry food bowl. These ants are aggressive, they don't even wait for the cats to finish eating before they climb into the bowl. Once or twice a day I'd have to knock the ants around to try and convince them to leave. I tried moats of water around the food bowl but the ants would either float across on a small leaf that blew into the moat or they'd just wait for the water to evaporate, which it did quickly here in the SW desert. Cinnamon didn't deter them at all. Nothing worked.Desperate, I Googled "how to keep ants out of cat food bowl." This device was one of the responses. I read the reviews but was still skeptical when I added it to my cart and even more skeptical when it arrived, looking like another cheap plastic gizmo from China. But it works like a charm. I can leave the dry food bowl out all day without any ants. Only one time did it fail and that was because I inadvertently put it close to a plant. The clever ants climbed into the plant and down the branch that was barely touching the edge of the tray.I didn't use the included velcro because I have multiple bowls which I wash daily. Instead I cut a small square of Easy Liner, the mesh stuff that can be used on a shelf or under a throw rug to keep things from sliding. The bowl stays secure on the tray without the velcro patch. When I first set it out the cats looked askance at it, but it took only a few seconds before they started eating their crunchies.Initially I was hesitant to bring the tray in the house at night, fearing it might be full of ants. But I've been using it for a few weeks now and have yet to see an ant come out of it. The $20 price was worth it for the cats' comfort and for my time and stress level. One of the best things I've bought this year.

It works perfectly. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the bowl can slide on top of it a little bit. I will probably use double sided tape to attach it. If I could have given it 4.5 I would have.

I purchased the Royal Blue version of this bowl tray. Originally, I had a two-section bowl with a moat. It was messy to maintain, and the ants still found a way to make it around the moat and into the bowl. I have now used this item for a week and have seen no ants. I am currently using this in a screened in porch setting. I only wish the design was available in a rectangular shape so I could possibly fit two bowls on the platform. Despite the price being a little high in my opinion, I still rate this platform with five stars simply on the fact it does what it says. I could use another one, but again, I find this item pricey.
