I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 IOT devices throughout my house. This is the first that I am thoroughly impressed with its build quality. It uses a metal mounting plate, has a sleek look and heavy feel. It connects through the Tuya app, making it one of the easier devices to set up! All in all, this is a great device!

Programmed with Smart Life app easily. Have been using for 3 years and have had absolutely no problems. Probably works with many other apps but I wouldn't know. However, It would be worth trying to find out for yourself.

Item was fairly priced and did exactly what I needed it to do. This gives you total control over the outlet, not only on and off but setting a schedule as well. Product seems to be very good quality. Overall, very pleased.

I already have a smart wall outlet in my hallway. When I bought that one, I thought it was compatible with Tuya / Smart Life (which I use for my many other WiFi Smart devices), but it turned out not to be - it's compatible with Kasa. But I found out only after installing it, so I decided to keep it (and it works fine). But when I bought one for my bedroom, I chose this one because it's compatible with Tuya / Smart Life.Very easy to install (neutral wire required). Took me about 5 mins, and that included walking to the panel to turn the breaker off, and then back on afterwards. The outlet was immediately recognized by the Tuya app. There are 3 LED lights, arranged vertically: the top & bottom indicate on/off status for the related socket (on = red; off = no illumination). The middle one is constantly on; switching the USB outlet on or off makes no difference, so I think it indicates "WiFi connected". But this is my one negative: It's very bright green, annoyingly so for someone who prefers a very dark bedroom. My workaround is to cover it with a piece of cardboard (see photo) but it'd be far better if the app allowed the user to turn off LED light display (which can be done with the Kasa wall outlet).

Sleek way to automate usb devices without a big charging brick sticking out. Used to turn my dog's water fountain on and off so it doesn't run all night. Super durability, perfect connectivity to wifi and function. Really great value for the money!

My husband finally installed this outlet after months sitting in the box. It turned out to be not as described in item description. The usb-c outlet couldn’t charge my iPhone 15 , which was the main reason to we bought it. The amp was too weak and not able to charge my phone at all! We didn’t install right after purchased, therefore,we couldn’t return it. Waste of effort and money.

I purchased this to use with a wall-mounted tablet that I have in kiosk mode for my Home Assistant smart home system. Previously, I used a standard recessed outlet with a USB connection to keep the tablet charged. However, due to constant charging, the battery eventually became overcharged and swelled, causing the front of the tablet to separate from the back.After replacing the tablet’s battery, I set up Home Assistant to monitor its battery level. I connected this smart outlet to Home Assistant and created an automation to manage charging. The automation charges the tablet to 80%, then turns off the USB outlet. The tablet is allowed to slowly discharge, and when the battery level reaches 10%, the automation turns the USB outlet back on to charge it up to 80% again before turning off.This setup prevents future overcharging issues and helps maintain the battery's health.

This item works well just like other Moes products. Moes support would be better if they said they won't help you. I get 1 email at midnight every day responding to my email. I can email them right back and yes it will be 23+ hours later. I don't mind the time frame just the lack of response. Yeah I know they are from China but the responses are just lame.This product in particular has metal mounting tabs. That sounds normal for electrical outlets and switches. But unfortunately this is very thick and has a lip. They provide a single gang cover that I imagine would work. But I'm using it in a double gang box so that doesn't work. My cover ends up being more than 1/4in off the drywall, yeah that big of a gap. I got no way of fixing it so that eyesore is going to be a pain
