Q: How big is a large size what size Alf is a largesize

My husband has edema and his calf is 17” and shoe size is 10 1/2. According to chart he’s large, but I’m wearing them (with no edema) because they’re too tight on him. He can get them up himself with difficulty, but they cut off his circulation. Just ordered him an XL. Hoping for a better experience.
