Knowledgeable and worth the buy
I'm having issues with school regarding our special needs son. Just started reading this and can't wait to put it to use. Book has lots of info on IEPs and even real life questions asked by others in the same boat as me.

Easy to follow
This book is great and I liked it because is easy to find information and quick. It has different cases which might be similar to yours. I will recommend this book to anyone that wants to get knowledge about IEPs and to people that are are about to have their initial IEP, would like to make changes, and to prepare you as to understand your rights. also to parents that don't have a clue what is an IEP and the services that can be asked for your child.

GReat Resource for Selecting Appropriate goals for a Child’s Individualized Education Plan
Being a special education teacher I find this book a very helpful resource for parents who are struggling to understand what IEP goals are and how to select the appropriate goals for their development. This book takes the guess work out of understanding special education and how providing accommodations for a child with special needs.

The Best!
The Wrights are truly the best resource for parents, advocates, and schools. The books are well written and easy for folks who are not in the field to understand. As a principal, my first recommendation for parents going through the special education process is Wrightslaw. Btw, I am also the parent of a special needs teen.

Must have for any parent w/kids that have IEP's in place!!
This book is a must have for any parent with a child(ren) with an IEP. Even though my sister is a spec ed teacher/evaluator with +42 yrs exp specializing in Autism, Downs & ADHD, she isn't always available & lives out of state. This book has helped me through many IEP meetings at school as we have 2 spec needs kids w/IEP's. Very helpful, especially when school tries to get around the legalities of IEP's. I guarantee when you walk into an IEP mtg w/this book in hand, you will be well informed!!!
