My rearview mirror assist camera of my SUV Explorer was no longer working properly, so I decided to buy this new one, and it works great. The price is even better. This camera works amazingly and does what it needs to do. The view and camera quality are great.

IPURCHASED A TWO YEAR WARRANTY FOR $2 AND I FEEL LIKE A SUPREME BARGAIN HUNTER! GREAT PRODUCT! WAS DELIVERED QUICKLY. HAS THE GREEN, YELLOW AND RED LINES TO ASSIST WITH PARKING. IT'S ONLY BEEN THREE DAYS BUT I AM LOVING THE SAVINGS AND EASE OF THIS FIX! YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO! I WILL ADD PICS AND VIDEO LATER. IF I CAN.

Camera works well. Good clear picture. Nice wide angle. Perhaps a downside to the wide angle is that it renders the guidance lines overly narrow, and not accurate to the vehicle. The lines are there, but the proximity sensor is not as sensitive, so you must look carefully. I think that is all due to the wide angle throwing off the proportions the computer/sensor is looking for.

My 2014 ford explorer’s back up camera started to intermittently work, and then one day went full kaput. Stopped working. When you put it in reverse a black screen would pop up and say take it to dealer. I found the OEM camera on rock auto for $100. Found this one and said I’d try it for $30. And yeah, worked perfectly. Instantly connects to the display now when putting reverse. Picture looks clear. Full disclaimer o just installed it; at night, in my garage so I’ll know tomorrow if it has good quality and light levels and what not. But as for as working out of box, I have to say yes. Also, if you don’t know how to install, it’s SUPER easy. Took me less than 30 mins. It’s 6 bolts and a screw to get it replaced. Plenty of YouTube videos.

Purchased this as a replacement for the OEM reverse for a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT. This product works just as described and (in my opinion) has a much clearer picture than the original OEM. Installation: Simple plug and play. Took about 15 minutes. Picture Quality: Much clearer than OEM (again, in my opinion). I notice that the wider angle shows a bit more of the license plate on the bottom of the picture as well, but that is no issue at all for me. As of 1-2 weeks of use, I have yet to have any issue. Picture shows up immediately with no delay. Nighttime picture is clear and perfect. The parking assist lines showed up just as original did with no offset. I would definitely recommend to any other Ford Explorer owners.

reviews were hit or miss on whether cam seemed to work so took a chance on one for my gf’s ‘13 explorer. install went fine, it does fit the factory camera mount with no trouble but thats the only good thing i can say about it. picture seemed so so at first other than at the very top of the screen where it was fuzzy. i was willing to deal with that since it was a cheap replacement but after a 5 minute drive on a clear day the picture is so bad i’d rather have the blank screen saying to contact the dealer. a day later, the unusable camera image only comes up when coasting in reverse. push the brake and the picture steadily flickers until let off the brake. put an oem camera back in that works 50% of the time & no other issues. please save your money

Easy to install. Great picture. The factory Ford camera is over 10 times the cost.
