Smooth Results with a Little Practice
Why I Bought It I purchased the Veet Expert Cold Wax Strips as a more convenient alternative to salon waxing. I wanted something easy to use at home that would leave my legs smooth for longer than shaving. Setup / First Impressions The pack includes 40 wax strips and 4 finish wipes enriched with argan oil. The strips are neatly packaged, and the instructions are straightforward. The wipes are a nice addition to help remove any leftover residue. Performance / Quality The strips work well once you get the hang of the technique. They grip even short hairs effectively, and results really do last for a couple of weeks before noticeable regrowth. My skin felt smooth afterwards, and the shea butter in the formula seems to help reduce dryness. That said, pulling the strips off can be a little messy if not done in one swift motion, and some areas may require a second pass. The finish wipes are soothing but I wish there were a few more included. Pros ✔️ Removes even short hairs from the root ✔️ Leaves skin smooth for up to 2–3 weeks ✔️ Enriched with shea butter and argan oil for added skin care ✔️ Convenient for at-home hair removal Cons ❌ Takes some practice to perfect the technique ❌ Can be a bit messy if not pulled quickly ❌ Only 4 wipes included for 40 strips Final Verdict A great option for at-home hair removal if you want longer-lasting smoothness without paying salon prices. With a little practice, these strips deliver very good results, leaving skin soft and hair-free for weeks.

Brilliant wax strips
Brilliant wax strips. Works as they should, easy to use. Good value when on offer as they are a large pack size.

Worth it for quick and convenient hair removal—but a bit messy
I’ve been using the Veet Cold Wax Strips for Normal Skin for a few sessions now, and overall I’m pleased with the results. The strips remove hair effectively in one go, even shorter regrowth, and leave skin feeling smooth for about 3–4 weeks—which is great. I really appreciate that the pack includes enough strips for my legs and underarms, and they’re gentle on my normal skin. The included sachets of pre- and post-wax wipes are handy—especially the soothing one, which keeps redness to a minimum. On the downside, applying the strips can be a bit fiddly; sometimes the wax spreads unevenly and you risk “Missed a spot” moments if the strip isn't pressed firmly. And I noticed a little residue left behind even after using the post-wax wipe, so you’ll want to cleanse well afterward. In summary: effective and convenient for at-home waxing, with some small drawbacks around application and residue cleanup. A solid choice if you want salon-like smoothness at home, but doesn't feel quite perfect—hence the 4‑star rating.

Good value
Excellent value for money

Good but wouldn't choose them anymore
Less wax, using the paper once or twice and won't be more effective. Leaves hair here and there not removed.

I love these wax strips
I love these wax strips. I spent a lot of time and money going to salons for many years and started doing it myself about 7 years ago. It's really easy once you get used to it. I recommend going to have it done professionally several times in each area to work out the best strategy. General tips: 1) prep area with baby powder, baking flour, etc. Anything that will dry out the area and keep the wax from sticking to your skin. 2) Smooth wax strip on WITH the direction the hair is growing (armpits up, bikini line down, legs down, etc). 3) While holding your skin taut with one hand, rip the strip back and off quickly in the OPPOSITE direction (do not pull it UP) 4) Feel free to do it again in the same area with the same strip to remove leftover hair and wax, if it's not too bruised or painful. 5) apply a cold, wet compress to the area (I use a wet washcloth with ice wrapped up inside) and hold for 30 seconds or more. This not only feels good and cools but will reduce the inflammation and reaction. It will also prevent bruising if your technique wasn't perfect. 6) apply a thin layer of hydrocortisone cream to reduce reaction and red bumps, 7) use the oil wipes they give you in the packet to get rid of any leftover wax bits, and keep skin from sticking. You can also use a fragrance free sensitive skin lotion (like one you would use on your face, such as oil of olay, or aveeno). 8) LET THE AREA REST. Do not apply tight clothing, deoderant, or any other product on the area that might irritate it. I recommend waxing before bed to allow the skin to relax and heal over night (free of clothing or wear loose clothing). Good luck! The first time was not great, but figured it out eventually! The ice compress trick I learned at a salon a few years ago and it really helps a lot. It reduces the pain and reaction a lot.

Not great. Adequate at best.
I’m a decades long user of wax strips (so know how to use them) and not hugely demanding of beauty products, I just like them to do the job intended. At best these are adequate but I’d consider boots or Sainsbury’s own brand better. Despite the claim on the box, these do need warming up in the hands to but, regardless, nearly half the strips don’t peel apart cleanly. They ‘snatch and stutter’ (even though I’m careful with the process) leaving gaps in the wax. So I’d say 50% not great to use. Also the backing material isn’t particularly flexible so you need to really rub hard all over the strip to make it adhere to your leg/whatever. The wax seems to dry out/solidify pretty quickly meaning you don’t get many uses/runs from each strip (can’t recall brand/s but I’ve used some where I’ve been in awe as to how many uses I’ve had from one strip - laden with hair but still determined to grab more!). Whilst these might seem value for money I think they’re false economy as a fair few strips are wasted and it’s a tedious task using them to get an adequate job done. I’m wondering if these have been manufactured for a different climate and shipped into the uk/ Veet have changed supplier but I haven’t had this issue with shop bought Veet strips. Never realised I had so much to say about a humble wax strip! But I’d suggest you don’t buy these. Sorry Veet.

Worked great. Used it yesterday on my legs. Today skin is smooth. I would recommend growing your hair out more than you think you should. Mine literally hadn’t been shaved in a year lol so it was long enough that the wax didn’t miss any hairs. I already ordered another box to keep at the house for next time

This product is absolute horrible. First: it does not really work. Especially not on short hair (I tried it or the first time with hair of lenght ca. 2 mm) and literally nothing happened. So I‘ve let it grow a few more days. The result was a bit better than, but still not good. Around 50% of my leg hair got removed. Second thing: after showering, using lotions and soap I still wasn‘t able to remove the wax. If you wear jeans or something after it, lint will stick on your legs. Good thing when you‘re going to a party later, where you want to wear a dress (like I did) (Ironie off) Third thing: it feels sooo horrible on the armpit. It really hurts a lot hours after you used it. And also didn’t work there. I don‘t understand how anyone could rate this product in a good way. Do yourself and don‘t buy it. (I usually don‘t write negative comments as everyone has got a different flavour, but this really made me angry)
