Bright and fun for kids!
I ordered these for my 4 year old who was learning about rhythms in music club, I was so happy with their ease of use, fun appearance and durability that I then bought some for her class at the end of the school year, where the teacher says they have been used, abused and passed around lots of classes but are still popular and fun a year on. There are various ways to play with them (you can also 'whack' them on things to make a tune), i do prefer keeping hem in the holder and playing them with the hammer, but that is just because the 'whacking' method can lead to a bit too much excitement in the house!!. The supplied music book contains some simple colour coded tunes, that was of course a bit advanced for a 5 year old, but was no problem at all for my 6 year old niece who was very proud she could make a real tune with them!

Nice and bright but a bit too quiet
A bit disappointed in the sound. Has to be held up to get a clear note which is not easy for a three year old that it was bought for
