What's really important?
Here's what I like about this OtterBox case. It is OtterBox! Everything that you come to like about their brand, the cleanness the refined look the simplicity. Most of all, the protection you're looking for. Let's face it. Our phones are more expensive than ever these days. Especially if we have a foldable. I tried another brand that was more expensive than the OtterBox only to be failed by broken parts and lack of superior protection. It is up to us as individuals not lecturing anyone to make sure we don't drop these guys. But yes the occasional dropping does happened. I did drop mine. The case flew off after it did land. However I was not mad that it popped off. I have to hold on to my phone. It fell again but this time face down and it did its job in protecting it. I love this case. The edges may look sharp but it doesn't feel sharp. I love the feel of it in my hand as a phone. And it feels very grippy which I love. The case doesn't leave a bunch of finger marks. I love the flat matte look. It is very hard trying to shop for this style of phone. Google didn't do us the best with the design but the functionality I do love. That's another review. They have done their best to protect the phone. You judge from yourself on the pictures. But I love the fact that this particular case does not have a floating side notch deal that covers where it folds. The other case was very annoying. This one provides a very clean simplistic look. Thank you OtterBox for doing your best to protect my phone.

Rough edges and hinders operation
I've had this for about a week and started the return process today. I didn't like it right when I put it on, but thought that I might get used to it. The edges are 90° angles which makes it uncomfortable to hold in your hand. The edges are so thick that it's hard to unlock the phone with the fingerprint scanner. It's also difficult to use the screen gestures. If you like bulky phone cases that make it harder to use, this case is for you.

Very durable case
Case does the job as I've had other cases for the pixel fold that break within a few months. But the same thing that others are saying with the sharp edge can make it uncomfortable to hold. Having a pop socket helps minimize needing to hold the phone

Not your standard OtterBox. But also not your standard OtterBox.
Yeah we all know it, we're all thinking it. This isn't the full wrap-around that you're used to. But I'm glad they're looking at different form factors and being creative with what they CAN do. If you want your Pixel Fold to lay flat on the back, this is about your only option though (or it was when I bought it...), which means it has a retinue of distinct pro/cons:PRO: The lack of hinge means like another half a centimeter of width saved when folded, which helps when it burgeons pockets enough without one. I tried other cases and my male pockets felt bursting. Huge benefit when even my very long piano fingers struggle to hold it in one hand like I want to.CON: The lack of hinge means you're getting a REAL SHARP corner which, once you get used to it, is... not actually bad. Definitely a growing pain that I'm seeing in the other reviews. You will get a pretty nasty silhouette on your pants pocket but that's the age we live in. Might be a concern for harder-working jobs, actually?CON: The lack of hinge means you're leaving a raw edge of phone exposed when folded, which will still be vulnerable to drops and constantly get dust. I'm fairly safe but I always felt overprotective of that raw edge.CON: I... never really used the unfolded feature of the Fold. I know that's an argument against the phone itself, but I am also trying to indicate the use scenario of covering the hinge with a different case. For the record it would never lay 180 flat with the case anyways. The biggest reason I'm writing this review is that the unfolding would exacerbate a different issue, the rubber(? PVC?) banding around the edge of the case. It's been stretching as I use it in my fingers. So eventually it stretched beyond where it was supposed to and past the midpoint where it could unfold without bumping into itself. Later on the whole soft grip would eventually detach itself, and it doesn't take to re-adhesion at all. I've had this case for 8 months now, and it would've been faster if I unfolded my phone more. I may not know the going rate for case lifespans, but especially of OtterBox I expected it to last at least a year, minimum. The adhesive to the phone itself has felt sturdy enough to stay on it, so not like it'll come up without the phone itself. The plastic casing has not worn. For such a thin bit of material, it is actually very resistant. But the rubber edge, man... I will detract it this much for the case as a whole not lasting the year.

Super bulky and sharp
This is a cheap hard plastic. when the device is folded the sides are sharp and dig into your hand. As soon as the adhesive failed, I tossed it. terrible case from otterbox, they used to have such good cases for pixel devices but this is not one of them.
