WOW - I took a chance and IT WORKS WELL - even with a wireless mouse/keyboard!
This KVM switch honestly exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a simple HDMI / USB KVM that was hotkey capable (allowed switching using a keyboard instead of a separate wired button, remote or physical switch on the unit). This was important to me because I am not using this KVM in a traditional desk setting, and I require the ability to switch back and forth easily. Most of the hotkey KVM switches available are not only priced much higher, but their mechanism for switching is convoluted (you have to look at the keyboard and type in 1 or 2 (usually Ctrl + Ctrl and then keys '1' or 2'). With this switch, I liked that there was a 3rd hotkey option - just double tap CTRL + Enter, which is more efficient between 2 desktops. Initially, I was worried about this unit because there weren't many reviews and in the product description, it said that using a wireless mouse / keyboard was not possible. Well guess what?! It's not only possible, but the hotkey function works seamlessly! The mouse keyboard/combo that I'm using is the Logitech MK270 and it only has one dongle. In order for it to work successfully, I use the the Connect Utility downloaded from the Logitech website. One PC is Win 10 and the other PC is Win 11. Hopefully this information helps someone out there. I will update this review if this unit breaks down, but so far, it's working beautifully and I'm really happy with it! :-)

Happy.
Surprised! Thought I would be upset. It sometimes jumps off HDMI but majority of the its solid and compact. Plus with the extra usb in the front it helps with program installs and iso changeovers.

Not working but no longer returnable
Basically doesn't work with more than one computer: 1. HDMI works with one computer but not the other channel, keeps flickering and enters black screen for a couple seconds every half minute 2. USB keyboard/mouse also works with one channel only I made a mistake and didn't use this after purchasing, and went out of the return window. Now's it turns out broken.

[Mostly] Perfect hotkey switch for keyboard and mouse
EDIT: Things are a bit "glitchy" from time to time with my Roccat gaming keyboard and mouse working correctly. They mostly work (every now and then I get a dropped key, most notably when alt-tabbing between windows, and my custom mouse lighting doesn't work at all). I can live with the mouse lighting, but the dropped keys are enough of an issue that I may look elsewhere. I wonder if it's a bandwidth issue with only supporting USB2. My other (non-hotkey) KVMs/KMs are USB3 and have no issues. Downgrading to 4 stars. Still a good KVM, just no longer gets "perfect" rating. I have two dedicated monitors for my work laptop and two for my home computer. And my need is to be able to rapidly move my keyboard and mouse back and forth. The external remote button for my existing switch that I use is annoyingly in the way too often, and having to move my hand to an out of the way place to press the button is a slow process of switching back and forth. Given that I switch back and forth continuously all day long, I wanted a USB switcher for keyboard and mouse that was fast and operated with keyboard hotkeys. However, there is an absolute dearth of simple, reliable USB switchers that support keyboard hotkeys. So, I went with the inexpensive SGEYR KVM Switch on a whim that, if it didn't work as well as I hoped or broke after a short while, it was minimal throwaway cost. This thing is FAST! Keyboard and mouse switching is nearly instantaneous (faster than I can type in any practical sense). The option to Ctrl+Ctrl+Enter to swap computers is particularly nice. It's small and thin enough that I can easily tuck it into the cable raceway under the back of my desk so everything remains clean up top. And, it requires no supplemental power. My only nit (and it's a very, very small one) is that it uses USB2 type B to A connections from the switch to the computers. The switch included type B cables of moderate length, but one computer was too far away, so I had to root out an old, long B cable from my 5-gal bucket of unused cables (because everything old becomes new again?). Because my setup doesn't require HDMI switching, I haven't tried it yet. When (IF) I do, I'll update this review.

Plug and play on Linux Mint
This was plug and play for me on Linux Mint and Windows. It works well and does what it is supposed to do. It came with all the needed cables to get it working.

Easy, simple, efficient
Exactly what I wanted. I use 1 keyboard, mouse, and monitor and simple push button changes from obe computer to the other. Love it!

Doesn't Work as advertised but still usable for the price
I gave this 3 stars because the switch works for the monitor, but the usb ports for the keyboard & mouse don't work. I will keep this for use anyway because I have a usb splitter that expands the usb banks to 3 in one port so I can have mouse, keyboard & printer in one of the only 2 usb ports and will be the only thing I will have to unplug & plug when I switch between computers. A minor inconvenience compared to having to switch everything. Works just fine for my needs and price is very reasonable. *Note it may be a little bit slow (several seconds) to register the switch, but it does work.
