1 Gallon SturdiBox (Bone)

I thought about docking a star because it could stand to be a bit sturdier when deployed, but I'm not really seeing how this could be accomplished without interfering with it's collapsible design. It is very waterproof, and worked well as a litter box during a 4 day car journey. The cats sometimes missed a bit off the back, because it is pretty narrow, but the narrowness is needed to fit it into a cat sized carrier. That may also be our fault for not training them on it first. Lived up to it's description well.

One of the uses this box advertises is a portable litter box. My 18 year old cat travels with me frequently, and never has litter box issues. She is very tiny at 6 lbs. She could not scrunch herself up enough to use the box without missing it. She ended up urinating all over the floor of the cabin we rented. I had to go out and buy another litter box, which defeated the whole purpose. I only gave it 2 stars because once I cleaned and disinfected it, it works great as a travel water bowl for my dog.

I am moving my cat to Paris with me later this month and the trip door-to-door will be about 30 hours. This product folds up as described and seems pretty sturdy/well built. But it is SMALL. I didn't pay attention to the dimensions much (so that isn't a fault of the product), but it is about the size of a sheet of paper. I am not so convinced my cat will go in this thing, but I guess if she is desperate enough, perhaps she will. Luckily it fits in a pocket of my carrier and isn't too heavy, so I will definitely be taking it with me in hopes that she will use it on our layover.

I bought this item because I was traveling by plane with my cat and would be staying in a motel without a car for a couple of days until we could move into a condo, so there was no way I could go out and get him a litter box. This folded item easily went into my suitcase and was also very easy to unfold and fill with litter which I packed separately in a plastic bag. Clean-up was easy as well.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little small for my 15 lb Maine coon cat. He used the box to urinate but "held" the rest for 2 days until we moved into our condo and he could use a full size box. I imagine a smaller cat would not have that problem. I would use it again on a very short time basis and would recommend to others.

I bought this for travel internationally with my cat. He's quite small and made this box look tiny. He refused to used it even when I placed him in it on some litter. He could barely fit all four paws inside. Not worth it.
