Great little ice maker!
This is replacing an igloo I had for a few years. It’s basically the same with a few improvements that are thoughtful. It chugs out cubes every few minutes and keeps going and going. It’s much quieter than the old one, and the ice basket that catches it is a softer plastic, so it doesn’t ‘clang’ when they drop. Included is a scoop you attach with a suction cup that keeps it off the countertop. And, really nice, you can open the lid fully under the cabinets, if positioned away from the cabinet supports. We had to slide the old one forward to remove ice. It’s slightly narrower, and in my small kitchen, every inch helps. Pleasantly surprised at how nice this is. You just fill it with water (and keep it full as the level drops), push the power button, and select large or small cubes. I always pick large. It takes an extra min or so, but the cubes last longer. Fair warning-the basket area is not a freezer. You must remove the ice cubes and stick them in the freezer. The unit will shut off when the basket is full. I recommend this ice maker

Counter top icemaker
This machine doesn't quite measure up, but it's better than my broken refrigerator icemaker, and much less expensive than repairs to the refrigerator. The large cubes are small and hollow. When set to small cubes they are like crushed ice. The machine starts making cubes as soon as you push the button, but you must keep emptying the bin or they begin to melt and end up a big chunk of melting ice. It only stops when you shut it off, or when the water is gone. UPDATE: I've been using this icemaker now for a while and have upgraded my review. I discovered that if I keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator and use that to make ice, the machine works much better. The cubes aren't so mushy and wet and they're a bit bigger. For the price this really is a good little machine.

Good little ice maker
Works well , I made 5 pounds of ice that I keep in a bag freezer and when I use some I turn on the ice maker a replace. To really get the ice hard enough to not melt when it touches liquid you have to freeze it after the ice is made but only for about 10 minutes. It makes a basket of ice which is a half a pound of ice in like 30 minutes

Does what it says. Has since engineering flaws.
We as a family use a lot of ice. We already had a water dispenser from Sparkletts but wanted something that made ice too. This machine looked great. Could use the Sparkletts bottles and had space on it counters for the rather large machine. The machine is loud when the ice option is on. Makes ice pretty fast. Don't have to keep the ice function in all the time. Just when you know you are going to need it. The water dispenser dispenses a cup of water at a time. So if you're going to fill up a tumbler, you have to keep pressing the button until the tumbler is filled. Like I said I'm the title, an engineering flaw. A big issue we've had is the cork screw mechanism inside the ice maker. It came unscrewed from the motor and would not turn. This caused the ice to not come out. Trying to screw it back into the motor was hard at first. Had to empty the ice to work on it. Then I figured out a way to tighten it. When you press the button for the ice, the cork screw turns one way. When you press it again, it stops but will then turn the opposite direction for a good rotation or two. So, you have to keep hitting the button so that it would do the rotation enough times it would tighten back into the motor. Something I have to check every now and then and make sure it's not coming loose again. Other than that, the machine works great.

This ice maker is great. It's easy to use- fill the reservoir with water, place the basket in, turn it on, and select the ice size. Minutes later, it starts making ice. Of course it starts to melt right away- it doesn't claim to be a refrigerator. Note- alot of these ice makers don't actually refrigerate the ice, either. Once the ice melts out of the basket, the water returns to the reservoir, and if enough collects in the reservoir, it'll remake that into more ice. If you leave it on, it just perpetually makes ice from the melted water over and over so that you either always have ice or are just a short time away from having ice. I think its great so far and is way better than fumbling with crap ass ice trays.

I like how easy it is to use and how quick it makes ice! We used this ice machine in our camper for two weeks and kept it running most of the time and it did not disappoint. Like others have said, it is not a freezer so you have to use the ice right away. We kept an ice bucket in our plug in cooler and it kept the ice overnight.

Absolutly love this machine. The size of the cubes are perfect for me. It is quiet and doesn't take much water, I use bottled water not tap water. You should clean it after each use, don't leave water to settle in the bottom. Also I like to to cover it to keep the side fan clean of dust. It is very modern looking and makes the ice fairly quickly.

***Edited So I wanted it to work on my solar powered deep cycle battery which powers everything else including my laptop and blowdryer, but I guess I needed a 1000w inverter (mine was only 500 w) to power up the startup on the compressor of the ice maker. We were at our cottage with only solar power. When I tried the ice maker at home it worked fine, but on the solar powered battery it went through the cleaning cycle but didn't turn on to make ice. So I guess we'll have to use it only when we have direct power and not use it with our solar battery. So the problem wasn't with the ice maker, we just didn't have a strong enough inverter on the battery. We used the ice maker for a BBQ party at home and it kept up making ice really well. I just transferred the ice to my fridge to keep it frozen as it only stays frozen for a little while in the ice maker.
