Used as a prefilter for koi pond. Its doing the job and green water no more. There is an indicator float to indicate when filters need cleaning and a thermometer for water temp. Thinking of buying another now. Very happy with it. Includes all fittings and filters. 2 months on and I can say this filter is superb. Crystal clear pond at last. The pond pump flow was too strong and I positioned the filter box at a higher point to increase the height (head) between the pump and the filter. This reduced the pump pressure to allow the water to filter slightly more slowly and increase the dwell time in the UV steriliser. I have pond faith at last...... Happy days.

Really good product works great easy to install and clean

Had first clean today, amazed how much silt was in the tank. Well pleased.

Although description says it does, it only comes with a few balls. You will need to add media. Quite noisy as the holes are 4 inch, so if using smaller connectors, quite a bit of air passes through. I am cleaning sponges every week on a 260 gallon pond and it's never been clear.

Using this gravity filter in conjunction with an APS auto 25000 pressurised filter. The box filter then feeds a waterfall. Appears to work well as a secondary filter. Very good value for money. Comes with a filter sponge cleaning tool so you don't need to strip down each time for cleaning. Also like the drain at the bottom of the box for cleaning purposes. The 70mm outlet allows you to use quite a higher water pressure without any overflowing of the box filter. The only slight drawback is getting 70mm pipe if you want to extend the outlet pipe that comes with the filter. Not available from DIY stores but you can get from another online fish keeping store but as its Oase it's not cheap.

Finally got round to plumbing this filter into my system and what a difference it has made, within a couple of days I noticed a change in the colour, just over a week and it looked like the pond had just been filled from the tap, pond is 7600lts and the pump being used is 8000lph with the water going through a 36w UV unit, this has replaced a 15000 pressure filter I was using along with a 12000 pressure filter which is still in use supplying a waterfall with a 6000lph pump. I have not had any problems with flow rate or leaks, and have just carried out a clean after 4 weeks of running and was surprised how much debris had been removed from the pond. Highly recommend, well made, easy to set up and great value for money, when the time comes to replace the waterfall filter another one of these will be ordered.
