A phenomenal gear sling … for someone else
I need to preface my review by saying I'm returning this product. It's extremely well-designed and it's going to carry all of the stuff you need to carry … if all of that stuff will tetris into the volume of a a small lunchbox. Years ago, I actually picked up such a lunchbox to carry essentials into a theme park so I didn't need to lug my backpack around all day long in the heat, and it worked shockingly well, actually, despite the lack of organization present. This … is like that, but better. My phone could go into this thing as well and be protected from other things banging around, for example. I don't have to open it carefully to avoid everything spilling out. And it's made of premium materials, too! I love that there's basically no wrong way to carry this pack. You can rearrange the strap to carry out however you like, and I understand that the stabilizer accessory is pretty nice as well, though I haven't got one of those here. I've got a few other Alpaka products now and I can say if this wears like those have, it's going to last for years, and I even like the colors. I got this in green, and it doesn't look too much like "olive drab" to identify you as "that guy", while being in the same vein if you happen to actually be "that guy". It's understated and urban-friendly while being fairly nondescript both in an urban setting and out in places where cellular isn't the most reliable way to communicate. At the same time, the blood orange interior is pretty high-vis. So, why am I not keeping it? I have medical needs I didn't when I carried that lunchbox. I'm an insulin-using diabetic, and that means in addition to a meter, strips, and lancets that'd totally fit into this bag along with the usual stuff someone like me might carry, I need insulin pens, a spare CGM, pen needles, etc. It's a lot more stuff. I basically need a bigger bag, and it's a little hard to judge the size of these things online. So if you don't need to carry all of that in addition to battery, earbuds, phone, wallet, keys, card readers, a multitool, wallet, and medications for the day (or whatever normal people carry), this bag is going to be a perfectly premium and comfortable carry option for you. If you have a need for a bigger bag, and you want the features of the average Alpaka bag, look at the Go Sling for an 11 tablet sort of version of this pouch, or if you need a bit bigger than that Alpaka's Bravo Max is your ticket. (The latter is out of stock at the time of writing, but there's a chance they'll upgrade the zippers on the next run since they seem to be moving to YKK zippers throughout otherwise. We'll see when they restock!)

Sleek Protection with Alpaka Case Max: A Must-Have for Your Device!"
Are you looking for the perfect blend of style and protection for your device? Look no further than the Alpaka Case Max! I recently purchased this case, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. First off, let's talk about the design. The Alpaka Case Max boasts a sleek and modern aesthetic that perfectly complements my device. The matte finish feels great in hand and adds a touch of sophistication. Plus, the slim profile maintains the device's sleekness while providing ample protection against everyday bumps and scratches. But it's not just about looks; this case is built to last. Constructed from high-quality materials, including durable polycarbonate and TPU, the Alpaka Case Max offers reliable protection without adding unnecessary bulk. The raised edges around the screen and camera provide extra defense against accidental drops, giving me peace of mind wherever I go. One of my favorite features of this case is its versatility. The built-in kickstand is incredibly handy for watching videos or video calls, and the magnetic mount compatibility adds another layer of convenience for hands-free use in the car or at home. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Alpaka Case Max. It combines style, durability, and functionality in one sleek package. If you're in the market for a top-notch case for your device, I highly recommend giving the Alpaka Case Max a try. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic EDC sling bag, stopped 3 theft attempts!
Just got back from a 15 day land + cruise trip to Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Lots of time in busy port cities/areas and popular tourist areas. While this mainly was used as a drop-in for my backpack during travel, I carried it every day as my EDC sling bag with a phone, glasses, wallet and other daily tourist essentials in it. I’m not the biggest fan of the X-PAC material (too crinkly sounding) but this thing shed all the water of a couple of downpours and kept everything dry. A big reason for that is the zipper quality keeps stuff waterproof. Which is my real reason for the five stars. Normally these waterproof zippers are a pain to open/close because of the resistance of the fabric. But on three different occasions this same resistance totally stopped pickpocketing attempts. I wore the sling on mu front, generally down on my right side over my kidney/liver area. That let me keep my hand resting on it and closer to me. But European pickpockets increasingly work as teams where one or more will distract you while another gets the goods. In one scenario I had a woman to me left walk right up close to me and start yelling at me in Romanian. That close violation of my personal space had me involuntarily back away where I was then pressed by two males who started yelling at me. I felt a tug on the sling at same time and looked down to see a fourth had his hand between the two males and on the zipper of the bag trying to open it….and you cannot do so one handed! You need to grab the little rubber “handle” opposite the travel of zipper direction. I backed into the woman and pulled away quickly and they rapidly disappeared into the crowd. Second thwarted attempt was when I sat down at a street cafe in Athens and placed the sling on chair next to me. I had rebuckled the strap through the chair leg and a kid grabbed the whole bag and tried to bolt but obviously couldn’t without dragging the chair with it. When he realized that he tried quickly to unbuckle it but these have unique buckles that don’t unbuckle unless you know the up/down motion to do so. So he ran and I picked up chair and bag and continued with my meal. Third and final time….similar to first but it was several younger kids surrounding us “chasing a cat” and one of them tried to unzip the main compartment of my sling. Same as first….cannot do this one handed. They all ran off as I jumped away. So overall, not quite what Alpaka says these are good for but you should know they are GREAT at thwarting pickpockets and swipe and grabs. Sure someone could cut the strap but I think most will just go find another victim.

Premium Product, worth every penny!
I love this tech case. It is the perfect size, awesome organization pockets, I feel my items are protected, great quality overall, well made zippers, you name it. I use it when I want to go to a Coffee Shop with my iPad Mini and my Sony WH-1000XM5 and still have room for a battery bank and a few other stuffs and it doesn't feels tight. You can also fit your Nintendo Switch with a Hori Nintendo Controller in a different setup.

Nice, quality design, construction, material at premium price
Likes: as stated high quality materials, design, and build quality are all nice - albeit slightly premium/expensive price. Design- wise, I like the ability to attach (included) strap to use this as a sling bag; highly useful. The VX nylon makes this a very light bag to carry - easy on the shoulder (until you put lots of heavy stuff in it), also roomy compartments and features like magnetic pocket are useful. However, this is not too big Dislikes: a bit expensive. Practically the only problem I see is that the main zipper is a bit hard to close (easy to open) - (1) being water- tight zipper, but mostly due to (2) zipper tabs have locking loops (can be useful) but the pulling tabs are attached on the outer opening side. Not a serious problem, but will need some getting used to.

Great personal carry-on bag!
This bag is exceptionally well made and feels like it will last for years. I really like the layout of the pockets—everything has its place, and it holds everything I need without being bulky. It’s the perfect personal carry-on for flying. I keep my headphones, ID, phone, and charging cords in it, and it’s always within reach. I can stow my larger backpack overhead and avoid digging through it mid-flight.

Good for small items but that's all
Quality is good but I wish they would show accurate pictures. Bag is small. It opens up very wide but zipping it closed is insanely hard and doesn't fit much.

excellent edc sling
I used this as a cross-body sling on a trip to Scotland, carrying my Kindle, a small tripod for my iPhone, a paperback, my AirPods, several different charging cables and a portable charger, my keys, a microfiber cloth, a pen, a small flashlight, my passport, a mini HeroClip, and some gum, and it was fantastic. There are a ton of organizational options inside the bag which I love because even though I don't use them all, I like having a choice with how and which ones I decide to use. The build quality is excellent, the green xpac looks great, and the blood orange interior both looks great and is very functional in terms of contrast and the ability to see things easily inside the bag. Now I use it as my edc sling for many of the same items mentioned above but with an iPad mini instead of my Kindle now. My only gripe is the strap which is a little thin. It's not a big deal since the sling isn't going to weigh that much, but if you're wearing it all day like I did while traveling, it could be a little more comfortable. I ordered the pro strap from Alpaka as it's wider and has a buckle, making it work better as a sling.
