LG Magic Remote MR23GN, 2023

Our original Magic Remote was accidentally broken by our kids, so we ordered this replacement. It is exactly the same as the original remote that came with our TV and paired easily. Everything works perfectly, and it functions just like the original. Great replacement option if you need one.

Worked as expected. Still using it 1 year on. Makes it easier to navigate the TV menus and option. I got a case to keep protected from bumps and drops.

I purchased the 2021 remote without realizing it and it worked but the microphone didn't. I went through 2 of those before I realized I needed the 2023, the year my LG was born. This remote is the right one, the 2023. It changes channels, turns the power on and off but the microphone doesn't work. It is the exact same remote as the 2021. There is probably a way to address this but I just haven't found the time to deal with it.

Very handy. Good size. I constantly loose our remotes . This one harder to loose.

Pairs quickly with my LG TV and works smoothly. Voice control is accurate, and the design feels comfortable to hold.

I got this to replace the magic remote that came with a 2024 OLED (C4). The description says it won’t work, but it does. I think I read that there is some functionality that the 2024 remotes have with AI or voice or something and this doesn’t have it, but whatever that is, I never used it so I don’t particularly care. I did like this remote more than some of the older styles of Magic remote. The shape is better and it’s a bit more well put together I’d say. I can’t complain. One problem with Magic remotes, at least ones I’ve had in the past is battery life. I haven’t had this one long enough to know for sure but I’m hoping it lasts longer than others I’ve had in past. Again, I mentioned that it says not for 2024 models but so far I’ve yet to find any functions that don’t work. The quick buttons for Netflix and Prime work, settings, volume and mute etc all work.
