Easy to Use, Fun to Play!
I don't know what constitutes a real vs fake R4, and pardon the pun, but I'm massively late to the game.As this card said plainly, it's an R4iNP, and I still don't know what that means, but it's built as a "fork" from Ace3DS+. The default menu is okay, but echoing what so many others say, TwilightMenu++ is the way to go. Dragging and dropping the TM++ files on top of the original BIOS files from the R4iNP website, it works flawlessly.Note, if you have a hard time finding a 32GB card, which is NOT INCLUDED, go grab yourself a SanDisk 64gb from whatever, and go on a Windows PC and download Rufus, it'll format the card as Large FAT32, as selecting "Non Bootable" and the format type.I never knew how much fun it could be to revisit some of these classics. For the price of a game cart back in its prime, this setup is way better and so nice to use.You can try your hand with another flash cart if you'd like, but this one is a great bang for buck option.

Definitely Worth The Money
Does exactly as advertised, I agree with what everyone is saying. Install this with the Twilight Homebrew, makes the process so much easier for playing your DS games. Definitely worth the money, everything I can store on this cartridge. The quality is excellent just as I suspected.

Works for old DS Lite
Got this for my girlfriend so she could have a nostalgia trip. I’m savvy with this stuff so I set it all up for her. Paired this with a 32 GB sandisk card since it doesn’t come with an SD card. Don’t get anything larger from what I understand.I suggest using Twilight Menu, it’s probably the best kernel to run on the R4 cards. MCD Network on YouTube has a super easy tutorial to follow for this specific make which makes this R4 card perfect and despite the sticker, this is compatible with NDS Lite meaning that it fits with no issues.By all tutorials I’ve seen on this Smart Update feature there’s no timebomb so functionality should be reliable for hours and hours of play time.No need to pay for NDS games used for a hundred+ and no need to chance the cheap remakes. Just get this card and learn how to set it up. Use Twilight Menu, takes the same effort as installing the base kernel.Based on the setup, you can run everything from NDS to SNES games. Once you paste the ROMs in their dedicated folder from your PC you’re good to go!I was able to download the R4 files for twilight menu from that YouTube video I mentioned above and had this card set up within 30 mins with all the Poke-ROMs that she wanted. It’s really that easy.

Works great but needed tweaking
Installation was simple… just follow the instructions on the website. Love the interface better than Twilight Menu. NDS roms work great but I was having issues getting Pokémon Emerald to work (no issues within Twilight Menu). I ended up having to replace the GBA runner file with an updated patch so that the game would work without having to use Twilight Menu.

It works
Initially I had trouble getting this card to work. I contacted the guy who runs the shop and he helped me with troubleshooting and ended up sending me a replacement cartridge that works great! Overall, very pleased with the experience and the product works great.

Retro gaming joy with this R4 and Twilight Menu++
I recently dusted off a relative's old DS Lite, and with this R4 card, I've been having a blast!Following another reviewer's ("Joe"s) suggestions and an instruction video from MDS network, I got a new SanDisk 32GB microSD formatted to FAT32 and installed Twilight Menu++ on that. I put the microSD into the open slot on the R4. Set-up was quick and easy, and the card is recognized by the DS Lite. I'm more than satisfied - especially for the price!Note: I did attempt to use the stock kernel from the website listed on the packaging, but its emulation for NES, GBA, and other retro roms was too janky. After replacing with Twilight Menu++, emulation was great except for SNES which is hit-or-miss. Every NDS rom I've tested in this set-up is also running splendidly!
