Buy How to Taste Coffee: Develop Your Sensory Skills and Get the Most Out of Every Cup on desertcart.com ✓ FREE SHIPPING on qualified orders Review: Teaches me to focus more on sensory experience in drinking coffee - I have been drinking coffee daily for a few years, but apart from “I like this one”, “pleasant taste”, “creamy”, and “thick”, I don’t really know what to look for in brewed coffee, much less to describe it in terms of flavor. This book introduces me to the world of coffee, what’s there in the coffee, popular professional terms and lexicon, what affects flavor, how to taste coffee like a professional, and a lot more. It’s different from most other coffee books on the market which mainly cover the popular kinds of beans and coffees, making coffee, coffee tools and machines etc. This book is above that. To me, it’s much more enlightening. Almost technical, but very easy to read. I can now taste coffee from a new perspective, focusing on sensory qualities. It gives me a totally new, pleasurable and engaging experience in drinking my daily afternoon cuppa. And when in a coffee shop, I am more confident looking at the specialty menu and understanding more of what they have. Review: A Great Book on What Tasting is All About - I have always been on a quest to make a better tasting cup of coffee. But I finally realized that I needed to learn more about what happens when I taste coffee. This book slowly, carefully, and very completely guides the reader through all that is happening when tasting coffee - or anything for that matter. I especially like the many palate exercises the author provides to help us identify certain properties of what we’re tasting. This book is the best resource I have found on tasting, and how taste, smell, and touch contribute to our perception of flavor. I highly recommend it!

Great explanation and fun exercises
I have Craft Coffee : A Manual on my shelf and reference it frequently, so I knew that the follow up would be just as valuable. I love the author's unpretentious approach to explaining complex subject matter, and appreciate the exercises that illustrate the concepts. I learn by doing better than listening to an explanation. The book reads like a friend sharing their expertise and passion for a subject rather than a textbook, which is much appreciated - it helps demystify a somewhat intimidating subject. The book itself is also beautifullly designed and looks great on the shelf - always a plus!

Arrived dirty and water damaged
Nothing wrong with the contents of the book, but this was supposed to be a gift and I'm almost embarrassed gifting it looking dirty and warped. Not sure how to clean this either. Looks worse in person.

Sono da ormai 2 anni nel mondo del caffé specialty. Ho letto vari libri e questo rappresenta un buon inizio per capire come approcciarsi alla degustazione. Il libro contiene esercizi per percepire vari gusti e distinguerli. Facile comprensione. Solo in lingua inglese
