Sight Mount Plate Pistol Mount Plate

The mount is well made and finished. It is seems to be aluminum with a black coating. It fit my Vortex optic just as it was supposed to. It did not fit the Charles Daly 1911 as the slot was much to small, but a couple of hours with a Dremel tool grinding the bevel on the insert made it work. It took a while because it has to be done carefully, grinding and fitting and grinding. If too much is take odd, it is ruined. My son’s sight vise was invaluable. As a note, the Charle Daly 1911 was not mentioned in the guns it fit. I bought the mount purely on speculation.

You can always tell how good a company is by the quality of their packaging. This one was superb, thick see though plastic. That's about where the good quality stops. Seems to me that the known deminsions of the glock slide would make it easier to make a product like this with tighter tolerances. I installed this one and found it difficult to keep straight on the slide which can interfere with accuracy. I had to use a vise and micrometer to get it acceptably straight. Aside from that HUGH issue it's a okay product made of aluminum. Be careful not to strip it out. May or may not be good for you, it was mediocre for me.

Set it up on my Glock 17, let it sit for more then 48 to let the locktite really cure. Took it to the range a few days later to test it, 30 minutes into it everything was well going well until the mount flew off after firing a round. The small plate piece to hold it had warped inwards and the screw holes were stripped. Ordered a replacement and that same piece for some reason doesn’t sit still. I can push it in left or right and it just slides out (Doesn’t let me post a video for some reason) This might not be the same with everyone but this was my experience, just gonna look somewhere else

Decent product, nice finish, worked for me. I feel most items like this come from the CHI. and clones to many brands, I spent more from (name brands) did I say that out loud ! OH' So I got this at a better price than ????? brand and matched them up. Can you say, identical in every way, period !!!

The piece for the rear sight is a tad too wide at the base. Will need to be filed off a bit to fit. However, the good news is that the plate fits the curve of the slide.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He liked the product and price was good.

Looks great but after using once installed I did have one of the screws snap off after about 300 rounds but if you can get better hardware the baseplate is very nice and very square to the side assembly!
