Intex Excursion Inflatable Boat Set with Aluminium Oars and Pump (4 Person or 5 Person Model)

I have purchased the Intex Excursion Inflatable Boat Set with Aluminium Oars and Pump and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I opted for the 4 person model and it has been perfect for my family outings on the lake. The boat is incredibly easy to set up and inflate, thanks to the included pump. The quality of the materials used is impressive and I feel confident that this boat will last for many seasons to come. The aluminium oars are sturdy and provide excellent control while rowing.The boat itself is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for four adults to sit comfortably. The inflatable seats are a nice touch and provide extra comfort during longer outings. The boat also has ample storage space for coolers, fishing gear, and other essentials. I have taken this boat out on the water multiple times and it has performed flawlessly. It is stable and handles well, even in choppy waters. This was my first boat and I was completely clueless, all I knew is that I wanted a boat for messing about on the rivers in Oxfordshire. Upon delivery we headed to the river, everything still in the box! Unpacked it on the bank and started to read the instructions, soon threw those in the box, never to be seen again. The wife started to thread the rope around the edges, while I started pumping. Soon finding while its a simply enough to use pump, it has to be treated a bit carefully, as you can tell it will break if. The valves are great, the air wont come gushing out if the pump lead comes out. The seats all blow up separately and clip into place, meaning if you don't want them all for some reason you can have lots of extra space. The oars upon first look seems pretty good, they screw lock into place and seem very sturdy... but, rowing is awkward as hell using the rollocks. We ended up both sitting on the middle seat with an oar each, digging into the water deep and pulling like hell, it does shift through the water pretty fast which is great. After the first outing, I decided to get the 'HYDRO-FORCE 12V ELECTRIC OUTBOARD' and battery and motor board of course. Cost the same as the boat but well worth the money. We went round the whole Oxford canal system and round the rivers. Amazing! We stayed in mid speed all the way, until I thought I would test how fast full speed would drain the battery! well it does! and fast too! My advice, be happy in speed 3, its not going to win you any races, but goes along at a nice pace and for many many hours too! Steering practice is needed though! Few bumps and crashes! One of the oar screw locks has broken on the 2nd trip out while trying to row back with a flat battery. So either spare oars or outboard are essential! Despite the pump and the oars, its the boat what you pay for and for that I can't recommend it high enough. Excellent fun, solid as a tank and sits nice in the water... want to come out on mine, let me know!

The boat size is quite massive, to the point where you almost forget it is inflatable. It advertises 5 people but 4 seems more realistic to still feel comfortable in it. I am personally using an electric pump bought separately, but a manual one is provided with it. Considering the size of it, you might think of buying an electric pump too (it took me around 15mn with the electric one, didn't try the manual one but I'd bet on a good 25mn and some sweating). Once inflated, the boat is fairly comfortable. The 3 inflatable seats provided with it are a nice touch but not exactly useful as the bottom of the boat is not hard anyway, you'd feel as comfortable on the ground. It gives it a more polished look with the seats, but if you are willing to carry some additional equipment / people other than yourself you might want to get rid of them, which is a really easy operation. The plastic seems pretty resistant, the boat itself has 3 different chambers, so if you accidentally puncture one of them you won't sink, which is a really nice touch ! Two paddles are provided and they do the job quite well, you can also go "hands-free" and let the paddle rest in the water, as they are attached to the boat. In case you decide to upgrade it, you have the option to attach a motor to the back of it. The boat is very satisfying and does what's advertised. It's not too pricey, perfect for amateurs willing to enjoy canal / lake / sea pleasures. The overall quality is fairly decent, and the possibilities to upgrade are numerous. Go for it !

Excellent boat, everything we wanted. Only issue was it arrived with a tear in the seam which meant it had a small puncture. We wanted to replace the item with the same product but Amazon made it difficult to do so. Hopefully we’ll be able to rebuy the product at the same price again.

Had it for a few summers now and it’s great fun. It’s a lot bigger that you would think it’s going to be when inflated and certainly takes me (20 stone) and 3 other smaller adults in its stride. This summer i bought the outboard motor mounting kit and a 3.6hp two stroke motor for it and it all worked beautifully (The kids loved doing doughnuts in it!) really would recommend this for your first foray into boating (although be warned from past experience, this can be an expensive journey to start on!!!!!)

Mooi bootje! Hij voelt verbazend stabiel aan en hij is daardoor prima te roeien. Ik raad aan om er een klein ankertje bij te kopen zodat je stil kan liggen. Als je van plan bent meters te maken zou ik de motor mount gebruiken, want het roeien wordt snel vermoeiend. Het bootje heeft meer dan genoeg ruimte voor 2 volwassenen. Er kunnen makkelijk 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen op. Ik raad aan om de opblaaspomp te vervangen voor een elektrische.

this boat kicks *ss and inflates in no time and I was in the water getting a sun burn in no time and was fun, a lot of fun. Now i'm just waiting for the mounting bracket to go trolling, I would give this boat ten stars and was delivered fast!!!!! As the little girl said at the beach the other day, "that's an awesome boat, I want one"!!! thank you for the summer time fun!!!!
