For question two, yes, you can use the air flow to move the alcohol ink. In fact, alcohol ink with smaller particle size can yield better spray effects.

I was told by Gaahleri in an email that the needles for the GHAC-98 & GHAC-98D will fit the GHAD-39.

Is this air brush a good application for automotive paint touch up metallic paint?

I'm not sure, but it has two needle sizes that are larger than .3mm. For spraying metallic paint on scale models, anything larger than .3 is good. If I were to use mine for metallic paint, I would use the .5 needle. Honestly, it is a great airbrush, I really like mine. You might also consider the Gaahleri GHAD-68.
