Works great! Just make sure to wire them properly.
I originally bought two of these to monitor a generator circuit that I'm installing for my house. But first, I wanted to see how much power my house was using so that I could make sure to not overload my generator. After installing two of them on the main lugs, I decided that I would keep them, because it's nice to see how much electricity your house is using at all times. The wiring is easy. If you're looking at the back of the box, the current transformer (CT) goes into the top two terminals (doesn't matter which color goes in the top or bottom). Then, your 'hot' wire goes into the third terminal and the neutral wire goes in the bottom terminal. I was able to wire these while my panel was hot. I have the 'hot' wires coming out of my 30A dryer breaker, so I was able to cut it off while wiring. I'm using 10GA wiring and it fits inside the screw terminals. ONE THING TO NOTE! Do not attach the current transformers to the live wires without already having it screwed into the meter. Google risks of an open CT and you'll see why. Overall, I'm super satisfied with the meters. The light is bright and the numbers are easy to read. They seem accurate, but I don't have any way to prove that. Also, since I had four of these at my panel, I bought a sheet of ABS plastic to mount them into and they look nice!

Cheap and accurate.
I use two of these devices to monitor my AC and furnace. The use of a current transformer instead of a shunt makes easy and , in my opinion, safer. Make sure that you remove power to the equipment before installing. House power is potentially lethal.

Easy to wire with invaluable information.
I bought two of these so I could monitor the amperage, voltage, and wattage, that each of the legs of my generator was providing to my home. I use my generator as a back up and it provides up to 12,000 W. Now using these, I can accurately know just how much energy my home appliances pull. It gives me a realistic view of measuring the amount of fuel I would go through. And you can’t beat the price. Very easy to hook up.

Works but needs some better functionality to be really useful for recording power used.
It works and has worked for many months but resetting the KWh when it maxes out at 999 KWh, is not easy to do. More importantly is why it doesn't just simply roll over and not require a reset. When it maxes out I lose the power info but if it rolled over and its being monitored I wouldn't lose the power info.

Good unit
Installed in my RV does a great job in letting me know when I am close to over amping my system in the rv park.

Great low-cost way to track electric usage.
I ordered 2 of these units because I needed to track my whole-house electric usage and if you have split-phase (220 Volt AC) service as most do in the United States, you need to install the CT's on each leg of the service leads in your fuse box or circuit breaker panel. After several months of use, the combines kWh readings are spot-on with what the utility meter outside indicates. But it is much more convenient to be able to see at a glance how many Watts you are using at any given moment. Even with just the 2 CT's, you can see exactly how much Watts a given device is using, by making a note of the reading, then turning the device on or off and recording the change. So if you do not want to spend a lot of time and money with a purpose-built whole house monitor, then install a pair of these. One thing to be sure to do is splice the hot wires which connect after a circuit breaker to an in-line low current fuse for safety. This way if the thin wire to the unit develops a short, the low current fuse will open. If you fail to install this way, then the small wire and unit could possible burn unless the main fuse or CB in the panel opens.

A Must-Have for Generator Use
I wanted to add a simple ammeter to my home service panel so I could see how hard my generator is working when the power fails. These LCD digital display power meters are absolutely perfect for the job. The split-ring current transformers made it really easy to snap around the existing wiring inside my home's service panel. No need to disconnect wires, pass through a closed-loop current transformer and then reattach. So installation was a breeze. The junction box shown in this photo was also ordered via Amazon and gives these power meters a solid home, and a great professional appearance. They're also very easy to program. I have visual alarms set to flash if power goes over 10kW. It's also easy to reset the kWh readout for tracking power overall power consumption during a power failure event. The instruction sheet was simple, but covered all the necessary details. Update: After 3 months of continuous operation in my home, the meters reached 999KWh. They do not go beyond 999, or automatically "flip" back to zero. They remain stuck at 999KWh until reset by the owner. This is not a problem. Just be mindful that you'll need to keep a journal if you want to track power consumption beyond 999KWh.

Excellent choice to monitor solar inverter
Arrived in the normal time, packed well, and exactly what I ordered. I use this meter to monitor the inverter I use on my solar system. I like that the pertinent information is all right there on one display, and I don't have to scroll through menus to find the data I'm looking for. It's been installed roughly 6 months with no problems so far.
