For a short trip in Beijing or a long weekend tour of the city this guide is a great tool for sightseeing the city and surrounding areas

Planning a trip to the China capital later this year. This book is a good guide with pictures well illustrated to talk about sightseeing points, place to eat and suggested route. The information are quite update too. This allows me to do a good plan before the journey starts. It actually covers more than I needed but I find it verybuseful and would recommend.

Good size and handy for travelling, includes maps, which is handy, as some online maps that people use can be tricky to access in China. Some stations were transcribed one way in the book, and another way in the maps in the same book, so that would be something to review for the next edition. At least one of the metro lines was displayed in the wrong colour in the book, and some directions (like which metro exit to take) were not right, and also some of the museums didn't have the info that tickets need to be booked in advance online. But it's okay, things change all the time, maybe this will be present in the next edition. Overall, this was a very helpful physical resource which is very good to have when resources online are harder to access.

Great travel guide, small and compact. Very handy and easy to read. Also a pull out map included making this perfect set.
