Works great!
I am using this 10Gtek eSATA to PCie card in conjunction with a mediasonic probox 4 bay enclosure (also purchased here on Amazon) and it works great!I did install and update the 10Gtek driver before I hooked the mediasonic enclosure to my computer. The drivers for this 10Gtek card are no where to be found if you search for 10Gtek drivers BUT this card is based on the ASMedia ASM1061 chip so I went to ASMedias websites and found the driver there.Once that driver was installed, I hooked the mediasonic probox enclosure up and turned it on and windows 11 recognized both the drives I had installed in it with no issues!Card seems to work great so far! My jumpers were already set for eSATA so I'm wondering if I got a used card since the description says by default jumpers are set for SATA but never the less, the card seems to work great! I've already copied over 20TB using this eSATA card.Copy time was as I expected for 7200RPM drives in the range of 60MB/s to 220MB/s with an average of about 80MBs-110MB/s. I had a lot of very small files in the transfer so speeds where up and down.I am also using a 6FT eSATA cable and no issues with that length. It should be noted and I'm sure I missed this in the description but this card does not come with an eSATA cable, it only comes with two SATA. So if you plan on using eSATA, you will need to get your eSATA cable elsewhere.Card works great so far and happy with my purchase!

Works Great with Unraid!
I picked up this NVMe to SATA splitter to expand the storage on my Unraid server, and it works exactly as expected. The installation was simple — just plugged it into an open NVMe slot, connected my drives, and Unraid recognized them right away.Performance has been rock solid with no dropouts or detection issues. It’s a great way to add extra SATA ports without needing a whole new controller card. For the price, it’s a super handy upgrade if you’re running Unraid or building out a NAS.

Unstable in Unraid even after firmware update; 2 corrupted hard drives!
Take the warnings seriously because I didn't. I installed this in my Unraid fileserver to hopefully get better power consumption over using an HBA card. Not only were the savings negligible, but it didn't work right out of the box corrupting one of the drives. After flashing the card with the current ASM1166 firmware (can only be done in Windows!), I was able to repair and restore the data (20 hour process!).I figured it was just a fluke due to not having the latest firmware, but 2 weeks later another drive dropped out! Enough was enough! I took the card back out, put my HBA card back in and started another repair (20 hours again!).Everything is stable now. Luckily, this 10Gtek card didn't fry any of the hard drives like others have been saying. And luckily it didn't drop out more than 1 drive at a time (only have 1 parity drive).Definitely avoid this card and get a different brand!
