Bleecker Station Bat System - Set of Six 7' Inner Bats for Potter's Wheel

After reading the reviews of customers having “ bad luck” with these bats I was worried about ordering them. However, I use them for hand-building pottery and have not had any problems with them. Great choice for working on mugs and bowls in pottery. I can leave my pieces on the bats to let them dry. I highly recommend these. Even after cleaning them off with a wet sponge I have not had any problems with warping or the bats falling apart.

I purchased the Bleeker system spring of 2024. Spring 2025 I ordered these extra bat inserts. They are made of a completely different material and warped and chipped upon first use. As a potter, warping bats is never the goal and never wanted. I wish I could get my money back on these, however I didn’t get the chance to use them until the return window closed. After making 1 mug on these bats they no longer fit nicely in the system. Previous system bats are tempered and shiny, dry easily and havent warped in months of use. These new ones are very fiberous and the fibers pull up with every mug and have bowed after one use. Do not purchase, make your own or buy some of quality. Photo shows two mugs thrown right after each other, left is the bad bat (see the gap underneath it), right is the good bat from 2024, already dry and not warped.

This arrived quickly. The quality is good and it is just as described. I've bought these multiple times and they last a long time without warping.

I like this very much. The inserts fit well, and the bat is nice and sturdy. Much better than another I also purchased on Amazon. Worth the additional cost.

Beware!! I’ve bought them previously several times and they seem to have changed them to a different material! ~ My most recent batch completely ruined all my cups because the bat stuck to all of them. Super sad because these are my favorite, I’m hoping they go back to the old design.

I love the material, easy to clean, water runs off, and I can leave my pieces on them until they dry and they just pop off! Usually I wire them off the next day because I like to trim when on the moist side.

Do not buy these replacement bats. They are made of inferior material that will fluff up and deteriorate the first time you get them wet. They initially fit in your system, but once you use them, they swell up and will not fit. They warp and will leave chunks of fiber board on the bottom of the pot you throw on them. I did not use them right away when they arrived, and by the time, I discovered how bad they were I had missed the return window. It took me two sessions of about 30 minutes each online with Amazon to get the issue resolved. I was told the seller would contact me but they never did.

First order with this bat system included 6 bat inserts (7” x 7”). Recently, I realized I needed additional bat inserts for the same system, but I was concerned about the bat inserts properly fitting into the “mother bat” (I just made that up.) I received the bat inserts quickly and to my delight, they fit perfectly in the mother bat. Now I can throw to my heart’s content!
