I just don’t understand the poor reviews of this item - maybe other people were unlucky and got faulty items, but I can’t praise this highly enough. I found it really simple to put together - the hardest part was deciding how far apart I wanted the shelves to be, as they truly are adjustable every couple of inches. Once assembled (which took me all of 15 minutes, on my own, and I’m a 67 year-old female!) it is really sturdy and looks great. I wanted it for my greenhouse, as I will have trays and trays of seedlings come Spring, but as the greenhouse was full of tomato plants when it arrived, I assembled it and left it outside in the garden. It was there for a couple of months until I cleared out the greenhouse, and hasn’t been affected by the weather at all - no sign of rust etc. I carried it into the greenhouse without it collapsing or any of the shelves moving. The floor of my greenhouse is uneven so the adjustable feet were a godsend - 10 minutes with the spirit level and it’s level front-to-back and side-to-side. The slatted shelves are perfect for pots of cuttings and overwintering plants, as they let the air circulate. I’m very tempted to buy another one early next year if I get carried away with this growing lark! Can’t recommend it highly enough, and it’s smart enough to be really useful indoors too. UPDATE - it has survived the winter in the unheated greenhouse brilliantly and all my plants are still alive. I’m so pleased with it that I’ve just ordered two of the smaller 3 shelf ones, which will sit nicely under my potting shelf and hold all the seeds I’m getting ready to sow. Then the units will go outside for the summer and hold strawberry plants in grow bags. I definitely think I’ll get my money’s worth!

I wanted some cheap mesh shelves to store some 5 and 10 litre containers in a shed -so nothing too challenging. I can't yet say how they will stand up to a damp environment but thus far I was pleasantly surprised that they were quite a bit sturdier than I had anticipated- I was expecting something that would just about do but these seem to be really quite robust - more so than perhaps I was entitled to expect. Assembly was reasonably straightforward- the plastic inserts are a bit fiddly but once in place no problem. In place they are decently stable with adjustable feet- I put mine on a concrete floor and didn't have to adjust anything but I imagine there is a bit of flex in the shelves anyway. The shelves themselves are quite solid and, although they look as though the strengthening lip all round the edge would serve as a basket to hold things on the shelf, the lip actually faces downwards which could be a positive or a negative depending on what you want to store- and the design of the supports means you don't have the option of mounting them the other way up.

Was ok to assemble. Had a bit of difficulty. The plastic parts might seem not very strong but it does the job what it is meant to do. Have been using it for a month and no issues till now

bought these as an alternative to overpriced greenhouse seed tray racks. Well packed, even with little spacers to stop the shelves jamming together in transit. Well made, the threads on the uprights screw together properly, the adjustable feet are already in place. The plastic shelf positioners even say which way up they go and fit snuggly in place so you can drop the shelf over the top easily without needing five pairs of hands. Easier to put together with two pairs of hands but if you are on your own, put the first shelf on it's side, and push the legs through. then stand it up. Nice and stable but if you are going to put heavy things on it, have cats, or children the it might be safer to anchor the four shelf option to the wall. Will buy more if I need them. Just bought another one which is doing duty in the scullery as storage for five litre refill bottles there are at least 10 of various things on the shelves. They also hold the big batteries for the strimmer, hedge trimmer etc, and all the other junk that needs somewhere to live. Now have a three shelf option that is the new shoe rack, the top shelf is not right at the top but part way down to allow shoes to go under the coats. Still strong and wobble free.

This a really good and sturdy shelf unit. So easy to put together, did on my own in 15 minutes. Just order a narrow 4 shelf unit now. Highly recommend for the price. Looks good as well.

Good sturdy racking

I have bought a few storage shelves online before and struggled to get them set up- things never quite align right or the metal cut-out wasn’t fully punched etc. But these shelves are great- very easy to set up taking just a few minutes. When I realised I had one clip at the wrong level it was a simple job to lift the shelf slightly, move the clip and then lower the shelf back down- no dramas at all. This means adjusting heights will be a breeze. Great shelves!
