The range of this device is awesome
The range of this device is unbelievable. We live in a remote area and I wanted a Wi-Fi that could reach into my backyard approximately a quarter of an acre away. Now I can easily pick it up over a quarter of a mile away. The signal is strong and constant. I will be on nighthawk fan for life. To me it's definitely worth the extra money!!6 month update...12/16/19 Still working excellent!! just like every other device in your house you must reboot it from time to time I usually reboot it three times a week. As long as you do that it works just great.

Works in big houses
By big, I mean 1-story, 2200 sf houses. Set-up was fast and easy. Excellent coverage throughout the house and yard with no interruptions. So far quite reliable.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
So... This is coming from an IT guy.. I was paying my ISP ( Internet Service Provider) to get 400MB speeds down and 20MB speeds up. But wasn’t getting anywhere close to that with a previous wireless router I had. I now stream all of my TV’s, have several wireless devices in my home, phones, tablets, laptops, gaming systems and more. And the lag was REAL.. LOL.Then I saw this beast of a wireless router and decided to give it a shot based on some reviews. Unboxed it and looked like it had never been used (got a referb). Set up was fairly easy guys. Not complicated at all but if you need help, ther are youtube videos EVERYWHERE to help you with set up. Before, even though I was paying for 400 down/ 20 up, I was getting half that at best. THIS ROUTER? Pulling 457down, 22 up without breaking a sweat! Now all my devices run top speed, no lag, and I couldn’t be happier with it! And I have about 15 separate devices!!

Pretty great router for the most part, I think?
I bought this router to replace the internet router that’s built into my modem I lease from a satellite internet company. I like the smart WiFi setting where the router auto picks the best WiFi signal to use for each of your devices depending which is the strongest signal from where your devices are located at? So you don’t need a WiFi meter to check the signal at each of your devices to figure out whether to connect to 2.4, 5.1. Or 5.2? Router does it for you! Only problem I’m having so far is getting the guest WiFi to work? I’ve done everything as it says to get it to work with adding a password etc and it says it’s done correctly. But I have no guest WiFi to connect to on my phone or computer if I wanted to! I’m not sure if by using this smart WiFi settings if it somehow bypasses the guest WiFi or what? But I guess I’ll have to shut off this smart WiFi setting and try setting up the guest WiFi again and see if that works then? As far as a strong signal on the WiFi from the router with having the 6 antennas on the router. I’m not impressed at all, it doesn’t seem to be any better then my old router I have that only has 3 antennas. My router having to go threw 2 walls and about 75 feet and my WiFi signal at my TV is bouncing around from 50-65% strength. From reading the advertisements and comments on this router I expected a lot stronger WiFi signal!! So that’s disappointing! Was hoping I wouldn’t need to use extenders to get strong WiFi around my triple wide manufactured home. But guess I’ll be using extenders after all! I also don’t care for the extra limited free virus and tracking protection either. I noticed others also complained about that too! When the time up and has to be renewed I won’t be paying for it. I got this router refreshed and/or used. So it wasn’t as expensive as a new one. But whether or not it’s working at full power or not I have no idea? Certainly not as powerful as I was lead to believe it is! My smaller router mounted in the same spot game me some WiFi outside my home. This larger router with twice as many antennas are not doing any better then my smaller 3 antennas router did. I certainly expected more! But I’ll probably figure out how to add my other smaller router as access point/extender and hopefully get a stronger signal thru out my house?

Worked less than 24 hours
I set this up as soon as I received it, the set up was easy and I was up and running in less than 30 minutes. it had great blazing fast speeds and seemed like I got a great deal and an amazing nighthawk router. The problem is the damn thing stopped working sometime in the night and I woke up to barely blinking led lights and no signal, tried all the typical troubleshooting remedies and what it came down to is I got burned on a refurbished item. How can they say tested and working properly if the thing doesn't even stay on for 24 hours? That tells me the tested and working properly statement is a lie, if the item is refurbished it should be time tested for greater than 72 hours to say it works perfectly. Buyer Beware of refurbished routers.

Amazing deal, little learning curve
I saw mixed reviews on the "renewed" product but decided to give it a shot for the price. Our home is pretty large and our old netgear couldn't even get a solid signal to the garage. The netgear x6 was a simple plug in and setup comparable to all of my previous netgear routers. The biggest tip I can give is do not try to set this up on the mobile app while on your pc. I started on the mobile app and could only get so far. Then i switched to a standard 192.168.1.1 setup and everything i had done on my phone was unrecognizable. Reseting passwords, logins, domain names, etc.Once you set it up fully, the mobile app is a breeze and handy to test your speeds, child locks, and changing settings on the fly. Paying a third of the price makes it that much sweeter.

Overall I Find It To Be A Great Router
The unit work flawlessly for the most part. Initial set up was a tad bit difficult however while on the phone with technical support I was able to set it up. Speaking to the automated system was a bit long and annoying however my technical assistant was awesome. I reccomend this product as so far it was worked flawlessly.

Fixed all my issues over isp router
I was getting drop outs and constantly having to power cycle the wireless router from my isp they would t help or replace so I bought an aftermarket one and not one problem so far. The app is amazing and it automatically blocks harmful websites and notify a you! I can turn the kids WiFi off when it done all from my app. I can also check the DL speed away from home on the app. Stop and get one today you won’t regret!
