This was a shot in the dark, I have this item Mini Smartphone IR Remote Controller Adapter, Type C Universal Smart Phone IR Controller for Air Conditioner TV DVD STB, but I meant to get one with a lightning interface, unfortunately California has restricted this item-you can purchase it, but most venders are unable to send it to you. This item from TechMatte in theory should work, and it does. I'm so happy with this purchase, and I have a backup should the one I'm using stop working or get lost. Solid product, I've seen some cheap adapters out there, if I may assure you, this is a solidly built, well designed product. So much so I will keep this manufacturer's name in mind if and when I need other items of the like.

This says it works for data, but for my application of taking a USB-C lavalier mic and hoping to get it to work with a lightning equipped iPhone, it didn’t work. It does work for charging. I’m not sure these are being advertised honestly with that inclusion of “data”, maybe what I tried to do is outside the realm of data transfer but the point is, if you’re looking to convert USB-C to Lightning for the purpose of an external device—like a microphone, this didn’t work for me.

All. new products come with USB-C cables, use adapter this new cables on some of my older Apple products. Works great.

So the biggest value of this is Carplay - it works... but only if using high quality cable. I tried with a cheaper quality cable and it just would not work. Once I swtiched to a Belkin cable, voila - perfect! Multiple generation of phones in our family so this solves our problem of not constantly swtiching cables.

It is a good option for those with mixed ecosystem. My phone it's a Galaxy, that uses type c, and the work phones is an older iPhone with the lightning cable, so this helps to have just 1 charger and just put the one that I need at the moment.

I'm just trying to minimize the number of cords I need. This allows me to have one cord for both my micro C and older style iphone charging. The rubber stay is easy to put on adapter and then hook onto the cord, so the adapter is never lost.

Working as per expected

Funcionan perfectamente, solo el detalle que uno de ellos en la parte plateada es como un recubrimiento y venia suelto, aunque no afecta su funcionamiento lo tuve que pegar nuevamente.

En mi caso non funcionaron, desconozco se Es por algun defecto de fabrica
