In the misty woods of the Tennessee mountains, 1918, four young men live alone after both of their parents pass away. Surrounded by dangerous bootleggers, the eldest brother takes a real chance when it comes to loving the step-daughter of Spook, a notorious old man who would like nothing more that to wrangle all the boys up in his web of trouble. . . and trouble comes when Spook promises the girl, Samone, to another sweaty, greasy bootlegger as payment for a gambling debt.
