Weaver Leather Throw Weight

Weaver leather products are legit. This is way stronger than the knockoff I had before. I have multiple of these, and they work very well. I recommend two per throwline, so they are double sided and if you shoot too high, it won't launch the other end out of reach.

Nice size, nice weight for tossing over high branches. Will need your own cord. I used it to set up a block and tackle lift over a 25’ to 30’ high branch and it worked well. PS - the accuracy of a toss is a learned skill, be patient.

I thought “how complicated can this be?” considering the price but after using this a few times I really don’t feel bad about this purchase at all. It’s gotten some rude abuse getting thrown up/over/thru tree limbs and across the ground, plummeted into nasty pond water, etc. and this thing has been a champ. I thought any number of times “that things gotta be busted apart at a seam after that mess” but it continues to hang tough. I’m more than a little surprised at this point. Seems extremely well made & it really does seem to do an exemplary job in carrying line up/over/through the trees. The 12 oz weight has been plenty for me, I don’t believe bigger would be better in this case ... just pretend you’re throwing a full can of Coke/beer where you want this to go.

Excellent bag - tough and durable

This works just as expected. I use it to through Paracord line into trees to lift wire for portable ham radio operations. The heavy weight and smooth exterior allow the weight to easily pass through branches and return to the ground on the other side. I will continue to use this for SOTA/POTA operations.
