Much superior to metal steamers.

I bought the small size and for one person it’s great! Each tier holds about 3-4 dumplings. If you are cooking for more than 1-2 people I would suggest the bigger size. But other than that I love this thing! I use it at least once a week!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fell apart after 1st use.

This is a great little steamer but you must remember to use parchment paper when using it and when you do use it remember to dry it and store it dry if not it would develop mold in the bamboo but other than that is a great little product Easy Clean but must store dry not as big as you think it is in the picture but small enough to fit inside of a w o k but real easy to use

I am doing a summer internship out of state and have been living in an undergrad dorm for two months. We were told to bring our own cooking utensils, I opted for a wok and this steamer. I was able to use it for all my cooking needs. Steamed fish on the bottom level and veggies on the top. I even used it to reheat leftovers. This steamer is the perfect size for one person.

Solid design, holding up well to steaming. No bad odor other than that nice bamboo smell. They are small so not great for mass steaming, but nice for serving, check the dimensions before hand.

I have a 3-qt instant pot and this steamer basket fits inside with some adjustments: flipping the trivet upside down to lower the basket, and removing the lid (covering the top basket with a foil circle; or perfect fit with a single layer. Used to steam dim sum dumplings - worked very well! Instead of fancy inserts to keep it clean, I just cut squares of parchment paper and poked holes to let steam through.

Good product! recommend! the only problem is that the steam is too small... you may need a bigger one if you wanna place a bowl in it.. I use the coffee filters(cup basket) as the steaming papers, much cheaper than the steaming paper it recommended but same function. the coffee filters is available in every dollarama, with 1.25$ for 100 filters. cup basket fit best with the steam.
