Excellent book - Rigorous without being Rigidly Painful
Excellent book - Rigorous without being Rigidly PainfulVarian, MWG (Mas-Collel, Whinstron, Green) are the two other commonly used books.MWG is of course, the most detailed book. But the notation can be dense and hence it takes time to get familiar with it.I found Jehle and Reny to have the most intuitive explanations and the notation take less effort and time to get used to. Also, the appendix is perhaps the best one out there. One review of the appendix will help some have an initial understanding of the most common mathematical techniques used for Microeconomics.

The best written textbook I've ever read on any subject
This textbook is somehow both incredibly rigorous and amazingly simple

Math and Economics--Just what I expected
It is just what you would a expect: a PhD level, theoretical book on microeconomics. The book often makes more sense than my professor teaching the course. The math proofs are easy enough to follow--tends to skip lots of algebraic steps, but what advanced math book doesn't--and the pages aren't covered so densely that you cannot focus.

Great Book for students of Economics
Great Book for students of Economics. To understand the content of the book however, you will need a very strong grounding in mathematics. If your Maths is not good, this is not the right book for you

Well written, rigorous and complete
The book was well written, logical and relatively easy to read (for an advanced Microeconomic text.) The appendices were useful as a refresher and the proofs were sufficiently rigorous without being tedious.
